These bad boys go for 200$ in Sweden, they are very rare though i guess mainly because it's still more of an attraction for locals than a reliable transport.

4:41 Serpent in the logo. What's not to love? Right? 😁 Personally I'd probably prefer a foldable kick scooter with some form of suspension for rough surfaces. Potentially cheaper, doesn't need a battery that needs charging and replacing, thus unlimited range (unicycles become useless when discharged), can be carried over the shoulder and takes up very little space, gives a minimum amount of physical exercise, more stable/safe ride.

They sure have come a long way now in summer 2020. The Veteran Sherman goes 70 km/h (105 km/h free spin), has a range of 200 km (3,200 Wh battery), 20” tire, and weighs a good 35 kgs.

Here we are in 2020 and I bought my first EUC (Electric Unicycle) from SmartRide aka Wheel Riders Store on Aliexpress. EUC has come a long way and its the future of PEV.

I have seen these quite often in Tianjin, and was thinking about getting one as it would be portable and safer(!) that darting about on a bike. lets have a little look at that website.......

I'm a fan of the concept of a manual-pedal unicycle, but with the electronic balance control like other small electronic transportation devices have (Segway, Hoverboard, etc.). This way the battery life should be much longer, or a much cheaper battery for the same range (and lighter), and people would get some exercise. I just ride my bicycle without holding the handlebars most of the time, but the size of the bicycle is still a hassle, so it would be nice to use a unicycle instead.

Store is only in chinese. I'm American, so I did some searching, and Im not bashing my country, but I saw some Americans riding a some version with a seat, and they couldnt ride it at all. Thats because not only dont we wanna walk in this country, we need to sit too. I think the standing model makes sense as you use your feet to go forward and back. Asses dont have that same control on a mono wheel.

I ride one to work and back every day here in London. Have recently come back from China and Shenzhen, where we did 600km in a week of riding. They go well over 100km on a single charge and i weigh 72kg.

Riding them isn't easy though! It'll take a few tries to get the balance going. Kind of like a skateboard, only a bit trickier.

Electric Unicycles look good but I doubt they will catch on here in the UK anytime soon. Electric Unicycles were invented in the US but segway's are still more popular.

Looks like a great thing for School kids, and young workers living close to work. I don't think I would want to chug that thing around buses all day. I still prefer to walk, even after 60 years. Kids are getting so lazy these days.
