We are new to South Florida and bought out in the sticks. I am in process of building a garage very close to the size of yours. I really like the back roll up, and now plan on it. I too will be running electrical from the opposite corner of our house where the panel is. I hope to meet an electrician 'friend' along the way... Love the videos and insight! Retired on a budget and have to watch every penny.

Thank you so much for watching and good luck with your building I tried to share my experience to hopefully help someone I had never built anything in my life until this building I was nervous for sure.

so nice ill be using 1.5 conduit, for my 230v ,welder, hopefully i can use the house panel like you,i know theres a double 50 on the stove,...which i converted to gas,i think ill use that breaker

Originally that’s what I was going to use was a double from my actual home panel and I found the breaker on my service pole that I thought went to something but didn’t and I put a 50 amp in that spot.

I'm wondering why you needed so much #8 wire, was that the ground? I thought for a sub panel you only have to ground it there and only run your 3 wires. Ps i liked uncle's idea for the panel

Needed heavy enough wire Incase for welder or bigger air compressor because of the distance from power supply as well. Thanks for watching

What gauge wire did you use from the power source to the garage?

I’m lucky my uncle next door has one I can use any time I want so that saves me from that cost and space.
