I’m very curious about this. It always seems like such a cool and useful feature, but I feel like most people don’t end up buying a second battery. Would you use it for convenient charging or would having two batteries be your favorite benefit of a removable battery? -Paul

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide convenient charging would be a plus. I'd like to have a backpack with a charged battery so I can confidently run the first one down and still be able to make a return trip. That way I could adventure without worrying about remembering to head back in time.

@@raymond9642 It brings up the cost of the scooter, most people don't need/want this feature, and batteries are so expensive even if someone wants this feature why not just buy a scooter with better range and not have to carry a huge battery

It was a lot of work to get the shot (sooo many scooters to lug around haha) but we were glad we did. Just got the Ninebot Max G2 and the suspension is a game changer for an entry level scooter. Maybe I'll get used to the 22 MPH top speed but for now that's all the Scooter I need for my commute and I hope it lasts.

I got the Max 3 years ago and I have 8k miles on it, it is finally slowly dying, the battery showing signs...I would assume the G2 is even better as a newer version

Don’t buy an Emove. the build design is awful in that all the bumps wear on one bolt holding the front suspension together. It’s broke several times now. Don’t know how I haven’t got more hurt from it

You guys do a great job of testing and reviewing scooters. And you give recommendations based on these out of the box reviews. But one aspect I haven't seen you account for is the long term durability and maintenance issues of these scooters. For a lot of buyers even $1000 is a hefty purchase, let alone higher end ones that can go over $4K, so just knowing their new features will get buyers, but if they break down after a year or so that won't sit well.

@@christianb8228 You do have brakes to replace and adjust, flats and worn tires to fix ( can be a serious hassle ), batteries that will run down ( so many sellers give you no clue about the batteries origins, and the expense to replace ), and electrics that may or may not hold up. No one or agencies are reporting this stuff like all the other registered vehicles society buys.

Quick question! are the distances you measured the battery's lasting while being as conservative as possible? full speed? or more of an average commute with starts and stops? since i am looking for something to rival the Hiboy Max i would like something similar in price but faster and with suspension but Im pretty sure their advertised range of ~40 mi is on Eco mode and being conservative with the battery.

Even though the Vista is an honorable mention, I will be happy with it when it arrives. My Scooter Collection will have the following soon: GoTrax Apex Pro, GoTrax G6, and Fluid Vista. Also, cannot wait to see what the Tested Speed and Range on the GoTrax G6.

I just bought the Wolf King GT Pro right before this video launched, so I’m very excited that it won best overall! One thing I’d like to see in addition to these videos is quality control. I was really close to getting the GT2 or the Apollo Pro. However, Apollo has had a lot of problems with quality and customer service. The GT2 looks amazing but couldn’t help but get the Wolf King!😊

Apollo has been going through some growing pains where they grew shipments way way faster than they could hire and train customer service people. Another major US brand went through this 2 years ago and came out on top for customer service, so we're confident that Apollo is getting on top of their service game as fast as they can. They're actively working on it. To that end, they've done some very cool stuff lately, like including a spare copy of every fastener in their tool kits as well as including a map in the owner's manual that shows where all the fasteners go, plus the specs for the fasteners. That sort of thinking shows they're trying to get out ahead of problems. -Paul

My vote goes to the Vsett 10+ and Mantis King GT because of their more reasonable weight. Those performance scooter you mention are indeed awesome, but the weight is prohibitive and makes it impossible to carry most of them even a single flight of stairs. Dealbreaker! Do you think Vsett will release an updated version of the 10+ btw?

Vsett updated the displays from what I've heard, but you're right! The scooter itself is due for an update. That's an exciting idea! I hope they make the deck longer next time. For the power it puts out, the existing Vsett 10+ deck feels to short for me to get good footing on. -Paul

Yes! Vsett 10+ one the best for the price. It's smaller then the big boys but keeps up right with them! It's in a golden spot, not small and not huge. Plus according to my gps speedometer and weighing 200lb I hit 44 mph..

I still think the Solar P1 2.0 is the best overall value for a dual motor scooter that can go 40mph+ and climb crazy steep hills. It really is the Millennium Falcon of scooters...it's got it where it counts! Solid company to deal with as well.

Was torn between GoTrax, Segway and Niu. I ended up getting the KQi3 pro on 4th of July from BB. For someone who’s just starting to get into e-scooters, for the price it was pretty justifiable. I know it’s been less than a week, but so far it has lived up to all the positive reviews. A+++

Since it didn’t make the video and for those reading the comments. Highly recommend Segway P100S as a great intermediate scooter. $1500 30mph, 35-40 mile real world range, great water resistance rating, turn signals, tubeless self healing tires, etc. I would absolutely recommend it over the Apollo city pro.

We haven't tested the P100S yet. Segway has been very generous with scooters for us to test, but so far hasn't sent the P100S. We're not sure we'll get one. Thanks for your input on that one. -Paul

I ended up buying P100S earlier in the year for $1500 and I love it. That was such a great price. It's not without flaws though. Biggest flaw IMO is that it doesn't come with hydraulic breaks. This scooter IMO would've been near perfect had they just spent a bit more on brakes. Mechanical brakes it comes with feel mushy and junky. Other than that, scooter is real fun to ride and extremely smooth and stable even with lesser torque suspension than some of these other fancier scooters.

@@FpsnutMaybe I'm a bit of a luxury animal, but after owning a good scooter with suspension on for like 1 year, I've personally come to the conclusion that in my opinion brakes are one of the most important parts of the scooter. Mine has a disc brake, and a drum brake. There dics brake broke a few times and I can't get it to work at all anymore. The drum brake has worked perfectly fine, but after a year of major usage, it's currently about to give up as well. With 2 drum breaks I'm thinking they could easily last for 2+ years before repairs are needed, OR the quality of them could be high enough for them to lasts way longer. Regardless.. What I'm trying to say here is, from my experience the scooter just isn't good enough without 2x drum brakes and good quality ones at that. Otherwise you probably often find yourself in the problems you're having with yours :/

I want an average, or a balance of those three things on a _stable, well-built & repairable platform_ at a _fair price._ It barely exists. There's the Mantis King GT and whatever competitors it has.

Ah! A truly great scooter! I wasn't sure if you had one or were just using it as an example! The Mantis King GT was our favorite light heavyweight for about 6 months before the Klima came along and there are still cases where I would pick the Mantis King GT. -Paul

e-twow Booster ES should have been the choice for students. The one you recommended, the Segway E2 Plus, it weighs over 31 pounds and the handlebars cannot fold inwards. THE PRIORITY of a college student is to be able to bring their scooter with them into class and fit it under your seat, or else you've just signed yourself up for locking up your rinky dink plastic scooter to the bike racks to EACH and every class and dining hall you go to. How about just invest a little more into the e-twow's fully collapsable design and regenerative brake technology? Maybe the art and history majors will buy that Segway, and the more educated compsci and math majors will buy the e-twow.

I like the idea of one with a removable battery. I have an EUC but can’t bring it into my office anymore due to lithium battery explosions making the news. I’ve been riding the bus which sucks so I’ve reluctantly looked I to e-scooters (again. Had one before). A manual or removable battery sounds ideal.

Yeah, it beat both the KQi3 Pro and the KQi3 MAX! Beats them on 0 to 15 too and the KQi3 MAX to 20 as well (the KQi3 Pro doesn't have a 0 - 20 time) -Paul

Segway Ninebot Max g2. From research is a good one. You want to look for. 1.Warranty and a company that has good customer support if scooter ever breaks down or make sure you can buy pets to fix it. 2.Suspension for a smoother ride. 3.Good cost thisniens around 1k for me it’s $999 but it’s on sale. 4.Speed you can handle Segway ninebot g2 is much safer speed for beginners. 5. Safety make sure the brakes are good wear knee pads helmet.

It depends on the weight and price. Some of the most comfortable scooters are Apollo Air (light weight smooth ride and ok for hills), Ninebot MAX G2 (heavier, smooth and even better on hills), Kaabo Mantis King GT (fast, heavier, smooth and rips up hills), NAMI Klima like Mantis but even stronger acceleration. Then in the top tier NAMI BURN-E, Apollo Pro, Kaabo Wolf King GT, Segway GT2. All very heavy smooth and fast. This is all off of the top of my head. -Paul

Thank you so much! I've literally wanted to do that for years! We could have done even more! We ran out of time to push scooters around and put them back. We literally have 20 to 40 more than are shown. You can see some of them in the white room as we pass by. I'm sure we have more than 10 still waiting to be unboxed! :-)

You definitely have some of the best scooter reviews out there. Definitely my go-to when a need for some information on all electric scooters. I am using the you knocking model 1 voyager now and it's okay. But just not enough especially for my weight being mid 200s I find myself full throttle and bored often. Lack of suspension is a big con too. With that being said I got to ask would you guys do with all the scooters you've reviewed over the years.? You must have quite the collection stacked up. If not what's done with them.? What would One have to do to get their hands on one of the outdated but perfectly good models say from 2021. I'd love a fast high performance scooter😊 but the price tags on some of these things are just not possible at the time.. thanks for the videos!

Hi im new but been looking, just got a navee V40. But seen very little on scooters for heavier rider's to which i desided on this one rated for 265 lbs im almost 240 . The performance suited my needs im happy with it.👍👍 Understanding that max performance to reality is about 75% of listing.. So doing a video for 200 lbs + we ould be helpful to others ..

After watching and then doing my own research, I decided that the Unagi Voyager is right for me - and then I went to their website and found that everything is out of stock with no estimates on when they will have more scooters available! So I'm starting over with new research, using your video as a guide!

Your comment was 9 months ago, so maybe that was a time-specific issue. I ordered mine on a Saturday and it arrived the next Tuesday -3 days total. Pretty snappy. This was just a few days ago - so mid-May, 2024.

Thank you so much! One of the reasons we're looking forward to it is that we liked the side by side platforms on TAUR. There is a stability advantage from side to side, though a stability disadvantage front to back. But that also depends on the wheelbase and also how long the platforms are from front to rear. There is a really cool thing that happens with the side to side stability where you weight the outside peg in a corner, sort of like you do with a motorcycle and then counter that with the inside grip and you end up with a very stable body-to-scooter interaction. It's hard to describe but feels really cool in corners. -Paul

I enjoy the front/back foot thing but struggle getting really comfortable with it (I am 52 now), I even have the 2Swift board and Onewheel, so I'm determined to get it down but still is a little awkward.

Thank you for this thorough and expansive E scooter review. I just purchased my first E scooter ever. The GoTrax G3 Plus, I just needed a budget friendly , zippy 18mph scooter with a decent range, I love everything about the scooter except for the abysmal range, im topping out at 7 miles on a full charge and 18mph top speed. I really love riding E scooters now , I live in NYC , and with all the new bike lanes installed its alot safer and easier to commute on one. After some extensive research , I am going to purchase the Emove Cruiser S. It literally has everything I want in an E scooter, fast speeds up to 33mph, great build quality, and long range . It's currently priced at $1199, I think im ordering one today. Thanks for all these great e scooter reviews. This channel is a gem for E scooter enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Thanks, guys.

That is where I realized there are just as many options of scooters brands as there was parts, before I started down the path of manufacturer to see what ones are private label, knockoffs, and start-up, thats where I found your video. Thanks for this. As someone completely new to this area (eScooters) I had no idea where to start. I'd never heard of Unagi and I figured they were the perfect first scooter in terms of a rental. For someone who's only ridden a relative's once for a short period, I really wanted to see how feasible it would be for me to commute to work, and the ability to rent for an entire month (or a few) to get a feel for what things about the scooter and it's functioning were important to me, what things are worth spending more for for my given situation, etc., I think is a great idea. But also for people who might have a use case where they know they are not going to have access to a car for a certain number of weeks or months, having access to a scooter for a relatively inexpensive price is a great option. I wish there was something similar for eBikes, but that probably wouldn't work for me as well for my commute - it would work better mostly for shopping...
