I'm a massive fan of Electro Minelets, and I think you were using the weapon quite wrong here, while the build is more then fine, I would recommend fire rate or reload speed instead in t2, recoil is definitely not an issue here, a bit more sustain with reload is pretty nice in a pinch, and the quicker fire rate lets you spray mines much more efficiently--assuming you know how many you actually need for a swarm and don't overuse. The bigger issue is how you were placing the mines. Electro Mines do NOT deal damage. Think of them more like delayed bolts, they effect things around them but aren't true explosives. They apply an electric status effect which in turn deals damage--so clumping 3 mines in a single location is a horrible idea, its literally wasted ammo (Like clumping three shock bolts in 1 location is silly, spread them out!!) Snapping your mouse across the cave is a much better use of ammo, you want to spread the DOT over as many bugs as you can, once more the parallels to shock bolts are clear, spread it out and cover the swarm like a net. The aoe is relatively small but 1 mine is all you need to apply it to each bug within range. As the slowed bugs get clumped up, and the ones unaffected will move forward-requiring yet another trap in front of the first. Mines take about 1s to arm, so lead shots appropriately. A target affected by the status will take 72 damage over the course of 6 seconds, basic grunts have 108 hp--basically the important thing here is you need to refresh that status at least once to actually kill a grunt outright with that status (3 refreshes total with slashers). With this information in mind, its an active weapon, you need to apply mines and re-apply them to slowed and weakened groups of grunts. The damage and the slow truly gives amazing ammo eco and crowd controlling potential if used correctly. All this stated, I would implore you to re-try this weapon paired with a primary focused on single target removal for best results.
