I have the EV 50M and I love it. Sound is Crystalline, rich and full. Anywho, the Mixer app is brilliant, very similar to what I see here. Hats Off to EV. I'll be curious to hear back from you to see how it handled a live gig in a bar. I wouldn't think it would be robust enough for the bars I play in, but I could see it at a coffee house maybe. Anyway, I'm curious as to how it works out for you. Cheers!

I’ve got an EV 50. I love it, but I don’t want to have to lug it around to my smaller gigs. So I’m very keen to hear how this one is going too!

Hey just go through the effects and choose the one that sounds best with your singing. I’m not sure when I will be posting more Everse content but I do like it.

I love the effects on the Mackie ProFX6v3 Mixer especially effect number 12 for singing karaoke. Does anyone know if the effects on the Everse 8 are as good as the effects on the Mackie or better? Any effect on the Everse 8 is similar to the number 12 on the Mackie?

Never heard the mackie but effect no 4 on the everse 8 at -10 db works best for me using voice filter pre set

They are all great amps. Choose based on the weight and features that you require.

I just got mine. Can you only pick one effect for both channels? That’s all I can seem to do.

When you were on 20: Tap Delay, did you tap the screen of your bt device to change the delay time? Trying to figure out exactly how this works, any shortcomings in the resolution of the ms? You went to 333ms, was that just luck or a limitation? Then when you changed it back to 550ms, it went to exactly 550. Is that the default or something?

I don’t remember. If you download the app it has a demo mode and you can try it out.

Now, does an 8 put out enough to balance a full band in smaller venue? Or will I be lugging the 12 bar to bar as I make the rounds to sit in? I play tpt btw and I like my f/x.

@@vidwiz12345 The 12 is really for DJ’s and bass players. The 8 will be fine in a band as a monitor but should work in smaller places depending on crowd noise and how loud the drummer is. I like extra headroom so I would rather have something conventional like a QSC K8.2 or similar.

I'm not really an app user, generally speaking. Just want to plug and play. How is the EV compare to the S1, not using the app? If you're not going to use the app, is it still worth it? Classical Luddite here :)

Yea because you can also make the adjustments on the built in LCD display. If you want knobs only then look elsewhere.

@@aaronshortmusic I gotcha. I’m less worried about volume honestly. I will say the weathering seems legit although my band has used an L1 and never had an issue (we’re in Florida). Plus Bose has been insane with helping us.

@@ZackPomerleau If the S1 works for you then stick with it. It doesn’t get loud enough for me and I need to additional EQ/compression etc. I am going to sell the Bose and keep the Everse.

Can you have verb on on channel and verb/chorus on another channel? I.e. Classic acoustic singer requirement?

It looks like each channel shares the effect. The JBL is better in this regard but I mostly only use reverb anyway. On the EV tower systems each channel can have two effects.

@@aaronshortmusic Thnks Aaron - heard a few YT demos against the S1 pro - not sure the EV is as clear ( but could be down to eq) Looking to get a better quality battery PA - currently have the Laney 4XH Having said that I have two EV50 for band duties and they are superb

Haha. Actually I used the Cole but it had a lot of handling noise. That’s the only problem with those guitars if you’re not careful. I redid it with the Acoustasonic. I think it sounds pretty good!

@@aaronshortmusic I’m not sure what a cole Clark sounds like plugged in and from what I hear that’s were it shines, Acoustically though I’m not a fan.
