Yes. Those electrolyzer devices to check water quality are a scam.

I have tested the waters and found the Materials in the Tap water is higher than other water OK I understand the electrical side but if there is more material left in the water this shows it is more contaminated...if the colour is from the rods then all should change colour at the same rate but they don't that means there is less impurities and the more junk there is in water I presume goes inside us whether all the chemicals have been added for safety...I hope it helps

You would need platinum electrodes in order to be totally inert and show what the water has.
@DanHomeAtLast

The larger amount of colour change in tap water could be attributed to the difference in pH. Its incorrect to think that the impurities of this kind are in the water before inserting the rods there is no way that amount if oxide you can see is in there before the rods go in and it magically appears!!

Terrific video. Can you confirm if any of the colored material reacts to a magnet?

The black stuff at higher currents coming from the iron anode is likely just dislodged magnetite (high currents corrode the iron anode so much that even some of the non-corroded iron gets dislodged and reacts with just water alone to form 3Fe(s) + 4H2O --> 4H2(g) + Fe3O4(s) aka magnetite)

So the same result should happen in distilled water or any type of liquid?

It could work with platinum electrodes, but not with iron ones, because the iron is easily corroded and that is much more amount of stain in the water than the minimal from the water. www.amazon.com/-/es/Platinum-electrodos-repuesto-Hoffmans-electr%C3%B3lisis/dp/B01N7MQYPL/ref=sr_1_14?__mk_es_US=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=K4HSPLLW7YJN&keywords=platinum+electrode&qid=1667332199&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjIzIiwicXNhIjoiMy41OSIsInFzcCI6IjMuNDUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=platinum+electrode%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-14 www.amazon.com/-/es/platinized-Titanio-%C3%A1nodo-1-x4/dp/B00JKXKTZO/ref=sr_1_20?__mk_es_US=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=K4HSPLLW7YJN&keywords=platinum+electrode&qid=1667332199&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjIzIiwicXNhIjoiMy41OSIsInFzcCI6IjMuNDUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=platinum+electrode%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-20

Thank you for your response. So there is no validity to seeing orange as opposed to green brackish water after the test? We did these tests and found differences of color when different waters were tested. What explains the color being consistently orange for well filtered water vs black or dark green for unfiltered Florida municipal water?
@Aetherfield
@Aetherfield Жыл бұрын
Both filtered and unfiltered water contain minerals that will react with the metal of the device, I suppose. Very much like to my ionic footbath which I realize has as many skeptics. The manufacturers’ instructions require adding salt if using RO water. Perhaps adding more minerals causes an alchemy that results in different visible content when reacting with metal.

@@Aetherfield Orange = oxidation of the iron anode (into rust, happens with less conductive tap water) Black = oxidation of the iron anode (into magnetite, happens with more conductive tap water) Green = likely some chloride / sulfate present in the water

Too much science, too little sense lol. Average people just get more confused. Then you can comment about the finding. Is it a scam or not? What is it for? I would find it very helpful if it could indicate heavy metals or contamination, etc. In the end, the video is just inconclusive. It was fun though.... so there is no use in that at all? Conclusion is? Thanks anyway

it would help if you explained in non science terms. the best line was the end.. the color comes from the bars not the water.. that is good to know as i was going to buy one of there things. thank you

If it comes from the bars, why did nothing happen with the first batch of water? (prob distilled water)?
@rozmcculloch6518

Distilled water is non-conductive - electricity cannot pass through it therefore no electrolysis occurs (so no by-products or discolouration)

So this means hydrogen and oxygen and other stuff has been added to make our water safe BUT what remains in the water that still is in our body 🤔... So my understanding is the less TDA solid in water the less contaminated it is like I had filtered water and boiled water...they all gave off different colours but not as bad as the tap and the end smell was like a sewer...If you going to tell me that the rod or the gases are given off then that 😀 is utterly nonsense I like to see what I eat and drink and if its hidden its SICK

I bought a megaho.e water distiller and tested tap water vs distilled water using one of these electroyzers. After 5 minutes the distilled water did not change colour but the tap water turned brown and green. My theory is that the tap water has a lot more unclean substances in it, that's why it had a reaction
@AmenSpok

@@rozmcculloch6518 this is because distilled water is clean and does not have any contaminants in it to conduct

So why does this only do this in tap water, yet not the first water you used
@Hazard0ss
@Hazard0ss Жыл бұрын
Because it's distilled water, why has no electrolytes (dissolved salt). Without electrolytes, no electricity can travel through the water, so no reaction happens. Put some salt in it, and the reaction starts to happen.
