Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) Solenoid or a EPC Fooler plug

Here is quick video on how I upgraded my Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid or a EPC Fooler plug.
The Factory LML/L5P Allison transmission runs at 80PSI of line pressure. On shifts the solenoid will spike the line pressure to 230PSI and then kick it back down to 80PSI after the shift has been made. (not enough to hold any addition horsepower) The Deviant Race Parts EPC fooler will make the transmission run at a static pressure of 230PSI and will increase to 280PSI off idle also eliminating pressure drop on shifts.
This allows much more clamping force to the clutch packs in turn holding more horse power and greatly improving shift quality and longevity of the transmission. Sorry in advance for the wind noise. I live in Oklahoma. if you have questions let me know.

hey man just checking in, the epc fooler ever have any issues? you still have the truck its been installed now for how long?

@Killer Diesel Tuning I sold my dually about 2 years ago. I did have any with the EPC

@@rrrobin2569 okay good to know im about to do the install here in a few days....the thing is..im not having any issues BUT I haven't ran the tunes yet....so im doing downpipe up pipe exhaust and eg removal all right now...and they recommend that with the trans tunes from them they suggested running the epc fooler so I got it. And plan on doing that while I have everything apart and off the truck

I was trying to see what an epc was. You broke down the acronym for me. I'm researching some things for a 4l60e which is a chevy transmission for cars and truck etc.

So, with the added tunes the trans didn't want to shift from 4th to 5th. The EPC increases the trans line pressure to make the trans shift.

he will find the problems running 280 psi. dont do this add the transgo shift kit and if you have the trans out there is some upgrades for the pump a 1/8" spacer and a new valve for the pump that ups the psi in a safe range. basicly he trying to be cheap and add more hp but his trans is not built for it. a stuck epc at some point they tend to crack the trans case i would think fooling it would do the same at somepoint.

@@rrrobin2569 did the epc fooler fix your problem? Because I'm having the same issue with 4th-5th shifts.

@@MKyser-5 yes, but I still had a little slippage when I punch it.
