You ever scratch your head and other parts and say to yourself why did they put that screw there 😆 I don't think I've ever seen you use the claw part of the hammer 🔨 Most challenging video of the week for sure 💯

It’s funny you say this. My 4 year old grandson watches “Mr Shark”, and has started to recycle. I take him to buy things for him to take apart from thrift stores. Otherwise I find him dissecting things in my house. His “take apart” yesterday was a modem. He could not get it open. He decided that the hammer was the best tool to use. Once he broke the plastic he could see that the screws were under the rubber feet. What came out of his mouth. “Why did they put the screws there?” I can’t wait for him to start designing this and putting screws in obvious places

Always look under the rubber feet. Your grandson has learned the lesson at 4. Some scrappers don't learn that lesson until much older 🤣

If I was into conspiracy theories I'd say the engineers purposely hide one or two screws just to mess with scrappers 🤣

I'm virtually positive that lab power supply was on par with Keithley, Siglent, and Keysight in quality. Either Marco Reps or EEVBlog did a teardown/repair on one from the late '80s or early '90s several years ago. Kind of a sad moment seeing it ripped to shreds, knowing how collectors pay handsomely for them. (And knowing how great HP used to be, compared with what it is now...)

If any of those collectors would ever buy any of my vintage gear it wouldn't have to get recycled. But alas, it is very rare that any of these collectors ever respond to my ads, much less pay "handsomely." I get very frustrated as I'd much prefer to sell equipment like this to collectors.
