Thank you very much once again. And am really grateful mostly about the recent videos, because they have really helped me to learn more intel about the BQ Chips and their involvement in charging the system battery. And I can't stop myself from being more grateful for ALL your videos, because I remember when I started to watch your videos like the previous year around August, i literally knew nothing about laptop PCBA ... I used to look at it as a green thing with many tiny components. But now I am glad I can understand some few things, because of your videos. I really want you to stay longer, and keep on uploading those videos because they are so helpful.

Great video i have a laptop with similar problem it just won't charge the battery, changed the bq chip but nothing changed hopefully this video will help me solve this issue in facing.

Sorin, you can charge this battery with NLBA but, when you press charging, you must wait 20, 30 second and current will go up. I do this many times, just wait a little longer for it to start charging. Balance is not important fr charging

On macbooks you cannot change mosfets like this, CDC3215 and 17 cannot be exchanged although they are basically the same

Hello, capacitor gangster, lol, I didn't saw you measuring the gate of the replaced MOSFET, replace burned track and measured drain-source. Just to be sure that you have a higher resistance and not damage the MOSFET again.

two 830-grade multimeters*, a regulated power supply, a linear one, if you can get one, something like 20-25V/5A max, is ok, and a 60-70W soldering iron. table chair, a lamp... at least, some magnifying glasses, after a while, a microscope... and an laptop able to read pdf's and browse da internetz for datasheets, schematics and videos like this. * because sometime you want to check voltage and current same time, and sometime, the power supply ammeter is not sensible enough, or even it don't have one (like "laptop bricks"). also, as a newbie, is expected to do a lot of mistakes, so, if you fry one, you can try to repair the other one... after you buy another 830. they are cheap and decent enough! good luck. :)

Where did you get the replacement MOSFET, from a donor board? If you don't have donor board is it feasible to purchase them online ?

Need to be careful when using generic adapter. Sizes of centre pin sometims off by a bit. Thus laptop did not come on first time. A nudge further and ok

i have same exact issue.. replaced charging port, battery and addapter still battery sits on 2% without progress.. my question is how much does this kind of repair cost?

Sir I have similar issue just like this. I have Dell Inspiron laptop in which if I connect the battery the laptop goes on, but if I connect the charger with the battery on, the charger light dies and it is not giving 19volts. But if the battery is out the laptop powers on with just the charger plugged in. What could be the issue here sir? Thanks.

47:36 So.....ummm?, Is that "1 hour and a half" in the UK-time scale, which I believe converts to approximately; "6 hours USTime.. It's a rough estimate... I mean; It's kinda hard to accurately convert a "UK-Hour" due to the extra minutes per UKhour for " tea, a snack, more tea, a little TV, and some tea)". or did you already convert a "10-minutes UK" job to the "1 hour USTime"? 😁
