Thanks for the Video. You instructed to block 3 signals. I assume one is VGH, the other VGL, but what is the 3d one ?

@@ElectroPixels Isn't there usually more than one CKV signal, e.g. CKV1, CKV2, ... and also the inverted clock, e.g. CKVB1, ... ?

@@kevinmeyer6255 It depends on the screen. CKV signals are Gate signals in some of the screens in others you get VGH odd/even X2 instead of ckv1/CKVB1 etc where these 2 lines pulse alternately between positive and negative voltage addressing odd and even lines mutually exclusively at the same time. In this case he was lucky he had the short in the left side because because the voltages and signals are routed via the master PCB on the input side so he just masked the signals. Had It been on the left side he would have had to cut the tracks

@@mostafa221 check for shorted SMD ceramic capacitor on the half where you read 0V of when this half( of source driver panel) is connected to t con. Also run cold diode test to see if this voltage line is not shorted to ground. If you dont find any shorts on resistance test the next test is to check COF driver on the affected side. You can cut Vgh/Vgl lines neer the corner of the screen or cut the entire COF off completely. Mąkę sure you cut the right COF on correct side though:)

It's just a temporary solution, Permanent Solution is Panel Replacement and its more costly so use the PANEL maximum using this type of methods then replace Panel or buy new Tv

Hello, good afternoon. Question what if the short is on the other side or right side of the panel so how can I block the clock signal on the other side?

If both sides are Short then its not Repairable, in most cases the complaints is in right side that as shown in video we can block vgh, vgl tracks using tapes by blocking connection in ffc cable as shown in video, if the complaint is in left side blocking is not possible we need cut the vgh, vgl tracks going to the panel in left side

@@ElectroPixels damn its the information that i search for , im on a samsung un65mu6900 with the first shorted COF in my case it affect the panel in all manner its for 99% of my sources , NOT repairable im about to try to isolate shorted lines betwerrn the cof and the pannel , i will mesure some thing before , like theses new lines ive just discover thanks man from quebec canada ( theses set have no side driver , i suspect this cof contain side drivers

Sum special cases after cutting burned track's in Cof Ic, if cof ic is at the end of the scalar pcb then image's will come, otherwise you need to change the cof ic using a Bonding Machine

Then you need to Trace out the vgh track point to the Right side cof then cut down that track, If both sides are short then not Repairable, After all it just a Temporary Solution, Permanent Solution is Panel Replacement
