His genius is practically incalculable. No piece value ever entered his mind. Only the ends of the game. All of which he anticipated with few exceptions. And where the few exceptions arose, he adapted his play in order to return the advantage back to his side. Quite the cagey player . . .

Wow!!! A Morphy video!!! Thk you my good sir. Please remember the 22nd of June. The all time greatest, 187th birth anniversary. Thks for Morphy game after a long time. By the way the quote, I believe, is, when you fail to pan, you are planning to fail.

I am flabbergasted by the raw talent of Paul Morphy ... a true genius, who apparently without much perseverance and time consumption, possessed an uncanny prowess for accurate calculation of variations, and remarkable ability to sustain the initiative during the chess game; eventually finishing with a brilliant winning combination.

Excellent game. It looks like Paul Morphy had too many pieces on the board to begin with (even with the knight handicap) and Federick had to remove some more to get checkmated.

I think they were brothers. Both were chess players too as we know.
