I think you nailed this review. The best aspect of these headphones is the sound quality and the call quality. Both are quite good. I don not like the hiss that you mentioned. However, it seems to go away. Maybe it because you get used to it? The hiss disappears when music is playing or if you are on a call, as well. The clamping force is definitely an issue if you want to wear them in the gym. That is not recommended, in my opinion. I can see how the size of the ear cups could be an issue. They haven’t been for me, though.

yeah its true that the hiss goes away as soon as the headphones get to work on music or calls. Minor issue really. But the size of the earcup would have made it very uncomfortable if the clamping force was like 1 pounds or more. so I guess it works out well in the end 😃

@@TechKnowBiz Agreed. In the next iteration, they should increase the size of the ear cups, increase the clamping force, and get rid of the hiss. All true. The sound and call quality is exceptional though.

I really want to buy these but I don’t have any stores near me where I can try them. I love bass heavy headphones. Are these better than the Bowers and Wilkins PX8?

@@A_To_The_O I haven't compared them with PX8 but I have compared them against Focal Bathys as well as B&O H95. Out of those two, I liked MW75 the best

I does work with the iphone using a USB-C to lighting adaptor though. This headphones are top notch!

Great review I really appreciate your channel and I actually consider your opinion on products. I have a question 🤔 on sound quality of these headphones. How does it sound compared to the px8??? Also, how loud does the headphones gets. The reason why I ask is because of the H95 reportedly don't get loud enough for many people.

yeah for me the same as well. The H95 are quieter. The PX8 are the loudest and the most bass heavy. The MW75 is just behind the PX8 in loudness but on my ears the sound profile of the H95 was better than Mw75. MW75 are very good for modern tracks but struggles a bit on complex tracks.

Yeah for some reason its not there. But I got them on the Leica Camera store. Maybe check Leica's website.

I do love mine, but I think the ear cups are a little small, for comfort, even for my smallish ears. I ended up adding ear cups from one of M&W's other model of headphones.

@@TechKnowBiz hi. Bill never answered you, but I have the answer. I was maybe the first to discover this. You can use the Master and Dynamic Mg20 ear pads on the MW75. I posted this discovery on headfi about 6 months ago. The pads are available on Master and Dynamic's website for $49.00 and it will solve your problem. The opening is much larger and you will no longer have to tuck in your earlobes. The only catch is that the magnets don't line up. Fortunately you can just press them on and they fit perfectly anyway. Also you will just need to cut the thin cloth off of the Mg20 pads, as there is no cloth on the MW75 pads. This is so the wear sensor will function. Takes about 30 seconds. I highly recommend purchasing the Mg20 pads. You won't regret it! Let me know how it works out.

@@psawjack7629 MG20. Note you have to cutout the inner membrane fabric on the ear pads. Also, it has not magnets on the ear pads so it is a friction fit. It does give the headphone and even wider profile, but they still fit in the case. I think it is well worth it, and frankly much more comfortable on my ears.

The regular version has tempered glass too that's not a Leica exclusive. The only difference is the Leica one says "0.95" instead of MD. Which is cool buuut worth $300 on top of a $600 headphone? 😅

These cannot be bought anywhere anymore (I even contacted Leica). Would you be willing to sell me your pair? U mentioned somewhere that you dont use these anymore (cannot recall what you use instead, i think px8 or focal). How much would i have to pay, incl. Shipping to Switzerland? LOL>...It kills me when people claims anything is better than the Airpods Max. The only way there is any conversation against the Airpods Max is only because you have an Android only. There is absolutely nothing on the planet that delivers a better combo of functions, sync across apple devices, sound, comfort, ANC, Phone Quality, Transparency, and build quality. It doesn't matter if spend $700-$900-$1500...bluetooth headphones can't do what the Airpod Max do for iPhones.

You’re right, AirPods Max, are absolutely superb with everything, beats most headphones. EXCEPT the sound, which simply does not compare to the likes of B & O H95’s. I sold mine! JMHO.

If all you use is the Bluetooth connection with an iPhone, you have a good point. But, if you plug them into a streaming service, there are better options. Such as, M&D, B&O, Focal, Px8, and Mark Levinson in my opinion.

Not taking anything away from the AirPods Max. I just meant the MW75 are in a class above the AirPods Max only because of the Price. The AirPods Max with the iPhone is a different beast. There is very low latency, never had an issue with signal dropping and by far the best transparency mode in the market.
