Thanks for posting this. My 7ft tall hubby has always wanted to wear EGA but finding custom wear is difficult to find. So this is a good place to start looking.

do I have to buy brands or wear specific fabrics to dress ega? i often wear a basic jewel tone turtleneck, a black vest, and a leather trenchcoat together, it's all thrifted though so it has the color palette but none of it's really super tailored-

No, you don't have to wear brand to dress EGA, and the same goes for Lolita. It just comes down to the shape and elements that make it that specific style. Whether you thrift it, wear a taobao brand, or Angelic Pretty, that's up to you.
