If you follow me you know I got my first 3D Printer last year. Coming from a Science and Engineering background I knew I would eventually gravitate to this technology. I recently purchased my third 3D Printer the Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus and figured I would go over it and some of the reasons I purchased this particular model.
I hope you find this content useful and educational. If so hit that thumbs up button and if you want to see more videos like this, consider subscribing to my channel.

Great video man! I was just wondering what settings you used to print this Octopus. Keep up the great work!

.2 height I think 15-20% infill no supports. Basically the cura settings for the Neptune 3.

I am getting told to use supports with prusa slicer on my N3 max and Orca on my Bambu P1S.

I use Cura to slice. I will use supports depending on the models overhangs.

hi my friend...do you still own this printer? Would you buy it again? Thanks

Yes I still have this printer. I also have a N3Max. The Max I have running Klipper using a Sonic Pad and Debian software now. (The Creality Klipper wasn’t good) I recently got a Bambu Labs P1S with the AMS. If you need the larger plus size then it’s an ok printer but I would recommend a CoreXY printer like the Creality larger one or if size doesn’t matter the Bambu printers are hard to beat for the price and the ecosystem. If you like to tinker with stuff the Neptune is still good but hassle free the Bambu line is better.

@@LesFishingMoreCatching Thanks for your reply man. Im from Brazil and everything is super expensive as we must pay 92% import taxes including the shipping fee. )...For some reason, I found this Neptune line in stock here from Aliexpress quite cheap.. This bambu P1S is ranging from 1.25 to 2k USD here.Creality also has a few models in the brazilian warehouse. This is my 1st 3d printer and Im kinda lost, but thanks again

@Liberta_BR The Creality K1 and K1 Max the larger version are core XY printers. Meaning the build plate doesn’t shift around which is better. See if your local warehouse has those models. The N3P is ok but slower than those unless you add a Raspberry Pi or touchscreen to run Klipper to take control of it.

Edit: Aliexpress gave me a 60USD coupom and I could not resist. :)

How to do that kind of timelapse with the head constantly in the middle?

I use octoprint octolapse. You can have the print head move wherever you want after a layer change for the Timelapse shot.

Maybe an ok printer, but I'm more worried about buying a printer from such a small company, they could be gone tomorrow. Elegoo must have some kind of financial problems, perhaps subcontractors are not willing to supply parts until Elegoo pays in cash, it is common for suppliers to request cash payment from bankrupt companies. Elegoo can only manage to produce a handful of printers a month, which is not a good sign.

Yeah but also cause they are in high demand. Seems like they have a bunch of nice resin printers for a while. Also I backed the Phaeda laser engraver cutter 22 watt model.

@@LesFishingMoreCatching Of course their Neptune series is affordable, but I can't see that demands are the problem. they haven't had any printers for sale on their site for a month in any region and the few they released are on pre-sale, there is something wrong. And why do they continue to market printers through youtube when they can't even produce a handful of printers in a month. We say that they can produce a low count of 10 printers a day, they should then have at least 300 printers for sale, but no, not a single one has basically been available for purchase in any region and the few that have been sold are pre-sale, something is really weird about that company

@@dejedejsson Actually just to correct you.. units like the Pro and the Plus have been up multiple times maybe even the Max but I can't confirm that one.. particularly in bigger markets like the US and UK however they always sell out within a few hours to a day of whatever stock is available. You could be right about supply issues being that they are a smaller company but the demand is also quite high so if anything I would say they may have an issue with their supply chains not being able to keep up with demand. As for the concern frankly I would say it isn't really a thing.. even if Elegoo was to go bankrupt.. which as listed above I highly doubt is a possibility its a sling bed printer using Marlin and they have already released everything open source with virtually everything on the unity being swappable with 3rd party parts which people often do to 'improve' them.

Elegoo are not so small and they are selling great printers and lasers ;-) I have the N 3 max, Phecda, just sold my Mars and Saturn 2 and they are affordable top quality and the support via discord is great.
