You really helped me and saved the day! After watching your video I was able to update my firmware on my Neptune 4 plus and I was also able to update my screen firmware and now I don't have that horrible squeaky wheel anymore and my prints are the best ever!!!! You are my hero!!!!!!!

Your video is really step-by-step well done and adds value. Only thing to make it better will be to add a comment to remove the micro-sd card before completing the UI update and rebooting the printer

This is an old video so maybe you already figured it out, but to get the 121 points of leveling back you can turn on professional mode in the settings. Great video. Keep rocking.

fixed my wifi issue to update to .65! Password would say it was invalid (even though I use it for several devices) or it'd show me an x. Updated thanks to your vid and now I can see the gcode!

Hi, nice video. I see you your corners are 0.64 / 0.67mm etc, with some more fine adjusting under "auxiliary" you can get it under 0.1mm :)

plug usb into your computer, the first place when you open the usb is the root directory

When i rest the printer do i take the mirco usb out. Cause it keeps doing update when i turn it back on

You should take the micro SD card out of the controller and restart.

Hi, thanks for the video! So I'm following step by step and I'm getting errors messages for updating firmware and screen firmware.for the printer firmware I kept getting an error message saying update failed make "sure in root directory" which it was. Repeared several times to same effect. It eventually updated after hitting confirm on this message a few times. I've tried to do the same thing with the screen firmware using the USB with SD card sent by elegoo. It's on the usb/SD card I plug it in to the console and get the same error message... what am I doing wrong? I'm not sure why I keep getting the error message. I don't see the console booting up as shown in your video. Just the normal startup animation.

You can check the "About Machine" to see if you got the updated version. If not, try another usb, the usb they sent with the printer doesn't work for me. I used my usb as you can see in the video. For the microSD card, try another one also or format it and retry. Happy printing.

Updates keep saying failed even though I’m extracting the file properly and doing everything in order on a good quality usb… any ideas ??

Did you try other usb? They have requirements about the usb and the usb came with the machine may not work.

the touchscreen on my 4max isnt working right. it beeps when I touch it but nothing happens otherwise. Is there an update that could fix this and if so how to do I do it without a working touchscreen? I let Elegoo know, they sent me a new touchscreen, but same issue is still happening.

I don't know what is wrong. Since you have 2 screens you can try to update the firmware of one of those first to see if it helps.

My machine have the firmware 1.2.65 but they dont have 121 point to calibrate does have only 21 point. what is worrng? can you help me, please?

there is no card on the slot. you push your card in and do the update, then push to take it out before restart

The root directory is the one when you open your USB. Not under any sub directory. Good luck.

You should add the file to the root of the usb. If you already did, try another usb. It should be usb 2.0 and less than 16Gb

I appreciate your video but when downloading the same files and decompressing them it seems like my windows computer is creating different file types than what’s shown in your video and their walkthrough PDF I wonder how I can get around this I feel like it’s preventing it from working correctly

Did you try in another computer? Sometime Window has it anivirus or similar program to just delete the files on it own. Try with other laptop or maybe operating system to see if you still have same issue.

As I said at 00:30, I got my prints stopped in the middle no matter how I tried. I usually don't touch things that work.

Hi, you can check what your current versions are then redo again. You will need to get the FIX PACK first then everything else.

My neptune 4 max is arrives soon. I wonder if the first thing I should do after assembly is to update them. I don't think it's worth doing a test print until you're using the latest version? What do you think about this?

Like I said, I only updated when I got problems. You can check what version of firmware it has. Usually the ones shipped later are already updated. I would give it a try before updating just to know the printer better.

does older than 1.2.2.64 include 1.2.2.64 ? im on 1.2.2.64 at the moment and i don't know if i should install the fix pack first. Thanks for the great video

This is what they said in the update instruction "If your current firmware version of NEPTUNE 4 MAX is earlier than 1.2.2.64, it is recommended to update the fix pack first to avoid errors due to compatibility issues." If I understand the English correctly, you don't have to install the fix pack.
