Ned Rush is an infotaining universe of ideas for ways to make music, including areas of music production, music composition, sampling, synthesisers and sound design in software like Ableton, MaxMSP, Reason, and on hardware such as eurorack modular, Elektron boxes like the Octatrack and Analog Rytm, also visual art strategies using Jitter, focusing on music genres such electronica, IDM, glitch, jungle, breakcore, electro-acoustic, musique concrete, as well as discussing music via interviews and podcasts, and music performances via livestreams.

Absolutely brilliantly bonkers. I've got things working great now. So much to take in. Your occasional outbursts of THIS IS BRILLIANT etc, I am saying exactly the same! So much fun.... I'm doing same as you with just one drum loop, can't wait to start feeding a varying sound source into this madness. MWAH-HA-HAAAA ! ! !

I got an octatrack last year when things from europe were cheap. Then i got confused and scared so i sold it. Then a month or so ago i saw this video, so i bought another Octatrack. Thanks Ned

6:30: "And look, it's recording"! No it's not. Did every step all the same and already lost 6min in :/ EDIT: Don't forget to : - Not enable "Plays Free" on Track 2 just yet (FUNC + PTN) - Add a Recording Trig while in Recording Setup on Track 2 (FUNC + REC 1)

Hello Mr. NedRush, do you think getting a elektron cycles is a good drum machine to start with?

I’d recommend a model:cycles if you want to create beats only / the pros - it’s very quick & user friendly the cons - you’re limited to the pre designed engines + it’s very limited (pro & con I suppose). Hope this helps amigo.
