This is not an entirely accurate video. There is tape holding in the lcd... I found out when I cracked mine trying to fix the backlight

Since it was my first time doing this it took me 6 hrs i was afraid to crack the screen. I didn't have the suction cup so i use cardboard and slid it under to remove it slowly and carefully. Good thing i read the comments @ryancoster4679 about the tape underneath the screen. I did it and have it up and running again. Great video.

1 person is enough to lift the panel out but its glued down on the top and the sides , take a plastic card to cut the glue slowly and then lift up the screen otherwise you will break it

Without using suction cups?

Good lord and baby Jesus. If someone pulls this off without destroying the tv, that’s a miracle in and of itself.

I just attempted this with a 65" Element Roku TV that has dim sections and flickering. I tested all the LEDs but they work fine. Lifting the glass with the suction cups was a lot easier than I expected but now I need to figure out which component is the problem. If you take everything apart properly it's pretty easy to do.

Hey, ShopJimmy, Mine is low light, very Dim, but every 7 seconds (yes, I timed it) it flickers out then on again. same interval.. Is it the Power Board?

This video left out the part where the screen is glued to the chassis. Learned it the hard way when the pies of the screen separated when trying to pick it up

Would have been a great video if it warned about the adhesive holding the screen on prior to pulling it off with the suction cups! I went to pull up like in the video and cracked my screen. You have to carefully take a credit card or thin plastic pry tool and go all around the screen before lifting… Now the tv really is broken. If that one piece had been added to the captions, it would have been great. However, went from great potential to total shite video… 3:02

Great video if you want people to buy more parts after they try to follow this video of a "demonstration TV" that has half of the screws and none of the adhesive. Really should delete your entire KZfaq channel. It's really not helpful to anyone.
