I will give some tips on where to save $$ and other essentials you may need besides supplies. Are your kids going back to school in person or learning from home? The things in the box, you should keep at home to replenish kids’ supplies. As a former teacher who couldn’t make those meetings, text or email the tea. They will understand and maybe meet a few minutes after the second session with you

I am a working mother so at times I can’t make it to open houses or Meet and Greets so I make an appointment to meet with the teacher after school when I’m off so I can have about 10-15 minutes with any questions I have and a quick tour of the classroom/s. It helps so much and it gives me one on one time with the teacher.

Nothing wrong with “off brand” dry erase markers. They work just as well. Kindergarten usually has a separate open house from all other grades. If that’s that case with your kid’s school it could be helpful.

I always tell my mom to tell me to by the off brand cause school stuff cost a lot. I'm in my senior year of high school and my sister is in 3 grade.

I kinda miss all the “getting ready for school” stuff (were homeschoolers) but I certainly don’t mind saving all that money! The supplies add up!

What a truly hardworking person, im telling you i get tired just doing my own chores and not gonna lie i get super irritated when my mom asks me to do something. You not only go above and beyond for your kids but you do it with love and so much care. Kudos to you!👍👍👍♥️

Super mum getting back to school supplies and every child is well equip to start school with the right attitude. You have to be there for orientation for the baby in the family. Aliyah looks so special in her uniform.

I love your videos! I don’t have any kiddos of my own (I’m only 23) but watching a mommy work her magic inspires me to be the best mommy I can be when I finally do have my own kiddos! I remember open houses/meet and greet! Those were the best! I have three brother, one older and two younger, when we were in late elementary school my younger brothers were starting preschool and kindergarten, we were in forth and third grade at the time, admittedly my parents stopped taking us once they knew we were going to be okay finding our way and asking our teachers if we needed help (it also helped that we went to the same school the entire time) and focused on my younger brothers through their first years. Good luck this year! Hopefully it’s better then last!

I cried the 1st day of preschool, kindergarten and high school. Practically was hysterical the 1st day of college (he was staying at a dorm). Great video! Beautiful kids!

If you can afford it, name brands really are better when it comes to classroom supplies that LAST. Dixon Ticonderoga, crayola, expo, and elmers are teacher preferred brands. Many times, other brands break or are ineffective, and teachers reach into their own pockets to replace supplies for their students.

Nothing wrong with "off brand" dry easers. I cried the first week when our girls started kindergarten. Next year our grandson will be in kindergarten I told my husband " I'm not going be a baby when Devaugn'tae starts school " 🤣. I'll probably cry more then our daughter. Our kids don't have to wear uniforms they tried it few years ago and alot of families couldn't afford them. I bet the kids can't wait to go to school to see their classmates. We use our earbud holders as masker holders as well to attach to backpack. That way they can have an extra one handy

I think your teachers are very reasonable with the things they requested. The list I got for school for my daughter is terribly long. 😩, but thank God school does start for another month, so don’t have to go shopping quite yet

As an Australian, this is fascinating, given here in Australia, elementary school has all the supplies supplied to the kids at the start of the year. If you want something special, that's up to you. 🤷🏻♀️ Only high school buys their own stuff.

Same in the UK. Great video and Christy got some really cute stuff, but we never had to buy this amount of supplies for school it was all provided. It must cost a fortune in the US!

From my experience teachers really want the expo ones. Something to do with earsinng better and lasting longer. Yes they are expensive sometimes you can get a big pack at Costco but what will end up happening is the teacher will go buy them with their own personal money. Kids are with their teachers all day long and from my friends they prefer supplies than the little trinket presents. Unfortunately teachers are not given enough money for the classroom and they end up spending a lot of their own money throughout the entire year

My oldest will start Kindergarten in September. He did not attend school last year due to COVID. I have forewarned him that I WILL CRY!!

OCD isn’t just “wanting the same brand” there is a lot more to it then that and it’s a struggle for people to deal with, I understand you didn’t know so I just wanted to educate💕

Not everyone’s OCD is on the same level I have it as well and it’s with locked doors and windows etc. But different colors don’t bother me or same brand

What my parents did was they had grandparents or friends help out with kids, and my mom just wrote a note that had questions of all things that she needed to know

@@ChristyGior8 dollar store ones don't last or erase well, which is really why the want the exposure ones. Think about how much time and energy the teachers put into the kids what will happen is they will go out and purchase them with their own money. One of my friends who is a teacher got school supplies throughout the year instead of the little gifts parents give and they thought it was the best idea ever. Unfortunately they are not given a huge budget and the majority of the stuff they buy is with their own money. Yes it's expensive but at the end of the day teachers spend so much time with our kids. Just a thought from someone who has a bunch of friends as teachers who hears that they love when the parents purchase exactly what they ask for

Hi! how long are the two sessions you talked about for your kiddos and is the kinder session included or separate?? if the kinder session is separate I would attend the entire kinder session and see if you could divide whatever remaining time you have for ur other 4 kiddos maybe…
