Man, this series is way better than 'Sherlock' but still rather bad quality. I would be fine with the gender-swaps, but Watson for example is literally an inferior version of the true Watson. But it sure does not stop there. The show just isnt as clever as it thinks it is and most stuff is either easy or actually even wrong; yeah, the show even gets some facts and science wrong, but that's not my big criticism-point. No, it's the apparent obsession with sex. The obsession of the show-creator. Prostitutes are often praised, like the creators have not only the delusion they are epic but the intense need to openly declare it all the damn time. Literally all the time. Prostitutions being great is mentioned even without any need or reason, just to mention it. Sherlock sounds like a real loser when he proudly drops in every sentence again that he loves Prostitutes. Starting in episode 1. And already in the first episode, the show-makers showed off they believe in the false fact, the made-up truth, that sex is the only way to get peak-performance and that its totally needed. Heck, one level above that nonsense would only be "You die without sex." What utter nonsense. Really sad. A little bit rooted in reality, as Sex can be health-improving, yes, but blown out way out of proportion some times ago - probably by some losers? And heck, some people sleeping with each other are just gross Pairings. Really gross. Heck, even if they just held hends, i would be grossed out in some rare cases. But no, everyone needs Sex or they die or whatever the show-makers believe, so it's constantly talked about. That and sometimes lame puzzles overall make me not appreciate this show.

As a huge Holmes fan - I wasn't either. Didn't see the point in the gender switch; BUT IT WORKS. It isn't like how they do it now, she's Asian and a woman and nowadays there'd be a bunch of victim stories and she'd be overly perfect - that isn't this show though - this show did it right and made her an actual person. *******Spoiler ahead ***** My only gripe is the merging of Adler and Moriarty - I do not understand why they did that, nor why Adler is not used more - in this case as an individual. Instead we get rubbish like 'Enola Holmes' and that RDJ garbage - Adler is one of only two people to ever beat Holmes. There is one man and one woman that have outsmarted him - everyone knows Moriarty, few know Adler! I wish they did something with that - other than that, love the show. Just not a fan of that merger, also because as it was a series and very well written, they could have developed her character, merging just seems a waste.

I love the 1st 3 seasons of Elementary......fast, different crimes to solve....but most importantly I loved the hilarious banter between them (which is sadly missing season 4 n 5). Also, they've started dressing up like models (loved splash of colors in 1st 3 seasons). And, cinematography is becoming darker n darker. There was more sun light in earlier seasons.

That was season 1 ep 1. I also liked the next episode where he is trying to solve a group of deaths at a hospital and speaking to the administrator who is much shorter than the surgeon (played by the very tall David Harbour) standing next to him. Sherlock asks what's he here for, does he get things off of high shelves for this one. You can see David holding in a laugh.

I thought the episode which started with the clown being chased through the woods at night was a particularly hilarious way to open the show. Also, related to that, the episode the opens with him in a dream sequence with Dwyer standing behind him talking and then Dwyer is attacked by a clown.

Yes, yes, and yes!!! Bring back the writers, bring back the actors, but have them train a new generation of detectives. I think the main actors are in their 50s now so it will be hard to financially hold a broader audience (fickle audience). JLM won't be able to jump over cars and beat up perps like he used to, although as an ultramarathon runner I'm sure he's still healthier than most of us. I want to to succeed. I loved X-Files, but I can't say I enjoyed the reboot. Any reboot will have to be connected and emotionally consistent. It was weird that they had a romantic relationship between Mulder and Scully in the reboot when they ended the show by having them hold their hands waiting for the end to come. Somehow we reboot, and no explanation, they act as if nothing ever happened. They don't explain what happened with the black oil in the eyes aliens coming down on everyone.

I will watching Elementary, because i saw the actor Jonny Lee Miller in "Dexter" and i saw an episode on tv last time, so i thought, "yes, that could be a good show". But before i start, i have a question: Is the relationship between Sherlock and Watson like Patrick Jane's and Teresa Lisbon's in "The Mentalist"? I got this feeling after watching that video :) And i love " The Mentalist", because of that the question.
