Elementor Pro or Divi. In this video I'm going to talk about the differences, so you can make a well-thought, deliberate decision about which one to choose. I first want to talk to you about the learning curve. Some people say Elementor Pro is too hard to learn. Others say Divi is too hard to learn. That is all not true. In fact, as with all skills, it just takes time to learn to build a website. If you do want to have a website that you can just click, click or just use a template and change it - I'll talk about later about the templates- but is actually not what you want. What you want is a tailor made website completely created by yourself. So that it is absolutely unique. Does it take time to learn? Of course. Is it difficult? It's not that difficult if you know your way around a web browser and you have the right teacher to help you learn Elementor and learn Divi. So for the score, I'm going to give both builders a 9 out of 10 because they're both very good learnable, if you learn it from the right people. Now let's talk about pricing. Elementor Pro has a yearly subscription plan. You might think $59 a year is the best one. But no, you only have one website and only 50 of the pro widgets. What you actually always need is the 82 Pro Widgets, up to three websites for just $100 a year. $100 year is not that much in my opinion. If you get a good solid system that works excellent out of the box, and that is what it actually does. If you want to buy Elementor Pro, you can absolutely help me a lot by creating this free videos, to follow my affiliate link. Its in the comments section and in the description of this video. But with Divi, you also have a yearly subscription plan of $90 a year. But then you can use Divi on unlimited websites. That's a big difference with Elementor Pro, but there's another big difference. If you hit this switch you get a lifetime deal. That means for $250 you can build unlimited websites with Divi for the rest of your life. And you also get new updates. And updates are really important with Divi as... well we're about to see that their builder is a bit old. If you follow my affiliate link, you get 24 hours discount of 10% on the purchase of Divi lifetime or Divi yearly. Now there's also such a thing as the Divi Pro. If you buy this one, you also get Divi AI - Unlimited text, image & code generation. You get also access to the Divi Cloud storage, which may be useful if you are going to create a lot of Divi websites. And you have Divi VIP, which means 24/7 premium support in 30 minutes or less. We're going to talk about support later on. This might be interesting, but if you want to buy a lifetime license, then you have to renew for $220 a year for just Divi, AI, Cloud and VIP. I personally never used the Divi Pro license as I don't have a team working on different kind of projects at the same time, and I don't use AI that much in building websites. So for the score I would give Divi a 10 out of 10 because of the lifetime license. but I also agree that $99 a year is actually not that much. When you can create beautiful websites which is generating you money or you can lift your dream by doing so. So with that said, I give Elementor an 8 out of 10. Now for the next thing. I want to talk to you about development. Because a lifetime license may seem very good. The problem is the cash flow of the company. Because if all the customers just...

I've been using Divi for my customers' website for years, since Divi 2 actually! I think this has been one of the best choices I made in my professional life. But now I must admit Elementor is ahead in term of speed and functionalities. What I do like in Divi is that it is not only a page builder but also a theme. It offers a consistent interface from the theme settings to the builder itself. No compatibility issue and furthermore, the ET support/remote access and the embedded safe mode is great for debugging. In Divi I also like the colorful UI. It helps identifying things after hours of work. I like the clean interface (I don't like sidebars) with pop-ups only when you need. I don't mind having to validate changes in a module pop-up and then save the page. It is just one more click, not a big deal. But in Divi, I do not like the "speed" of the builder and yes, they could/should have added modules that users are waiting for for years! Let's see what Divi5 will have to offer. ET says the goal is to have a solid new platform to build future functionalities, so we'll see.

I also purchased a DIVI lifetime license a few years ago and still use it for all my websites, even new ones. It is true that DIVI is slow in updating the latest time but I think that DIVI5 took more time then they hoped. So I think (and hope) that ones DIVI5 is there also new addons etc... will come faster in a DIVI6 version. They just don't focus on new things because the core from DIVI4 is OLD and it takes time to get it updated without breaking websites. So I still have hope for a better DIVI future...

The Divi Lifetime plan includes the Divi Builder plugin for life, but the Pro modules and options require a recurring subscription fee. This subscription model is how Elegant Themes makes money with Divi. As an alternative to get premium Divi addons, I recommend considering Divi Pixel. It's a good plugin for a reasonable price. Divi's built-in AI features for code snippets and image generation aren't very impressive in my experience. The ai for coding is fine but the image generation is not. I An important missing feature in Divi is containers, but these can be added with custom code snippets. Overall, Divi Builder is still a solid choice for page building, but may not be the best for advanced users who want more premium features. Competition in this space is increasing, so Elegant Themes has incentive to keep improving Divi.

Hi Patrick! Thanks for your comment. Interesting about the AI! The lifetime license is with the Divi Theme. I think you are referring to the page builder plugin which you could use with any theme? Competition is indeed increasing and I hope to see that Elegant Themes uses this as fuel to speed things up 😀

I don't agree about extensions, I like Divi and I have a lifetime license but Divi can't get close to Elementor with an extensions, because for Divi you need to pay for extensions (I know because I paid for 6 packs of plugins and modules, around 300€ worth) just to find out later on that all of the extension from divi market place is a subscription, and after one year, you have no support which is okay but you don't have updates either so you are stuck with plugins you paid on the old version which is actually big security risk, that's why I'm done with Divi even though I have a lifetime license, and for Elementor you can get so many plugins that will give you all the elements you can think of and most of them are free with a paid version that you can upgrade

Hi Tonny! Thanks for your comment. Some plugins and addons are indeed subscription model, but also some (not all) lifetime products. So you are using Elementor now for all websites?

@@WPressDoctor Of course sir. You are right about it. I'm just one of those lazy ones. It is very hard for me to understand complex structures. Divi has turned into something complex to me. As you said, if you know your way around, you don't need to pay a single $ and still you can have anything you need with Divi or Elementor of course. But I can't even add a filter to my products page since the last 2 months because I can't focus long enough to understand any 5+ minutes videos. I wish I could but this is my limit. I expect to see built in basic stuff for every single thing I need like filtering pages - posts - categories - products or similar things. Lately, every single app turned into "Free is here (does nothing), monthly payment with 50% features, monthly plus with %75 features monthly premium with %99 features + if you want to have extra key features you can visit our community market and pay $100 for each simple thing + AI is here but we want extra $ with subscription and with the subscription we have 5 levels, level 1 subscription has got 1.000 points for AI promts you will use, level 2 has got 3.000 points...." goes on and on and on... I just can't handle these DLC payments anymore.

Worked with Divi once, hated it. With Elementor I'd recommend avoiding addons as they can cause issues but the joke is: You don't even need them, Elementor alone already is amazing, especially if you're able to use some custom code, no need for addons.

Elementor seems better but the price system they have its not good for me at the moment, specially living in South America where the prices of websites are way lower than in other parts of the world. Maybe someday if there is an offer I can actually try to build a website using Elementor. Divi in the other hand has a really good price and can make many sites with ONE license, but yea they are taking way TOO long to release DIVI 5....

Hi there! Thanks for the question. That’s true, I didn’t talk about that at all. The reason is because SEO should be handled by the experts in SEO. So I always advice you to use the Rank Math SEO plugin to do this job. So it really doesn’t matter what theme or page builder you are using. For Analytics it’s the same! So I don’t take those things into account when choosing a page builder - as they are actually irrelevant 😎

Hi there, thanks for your comment. That is true, I didn't touch that because both builders can do this. If people refuse to move on from Divi, it suggests that they are unwilling to learn new things or adapt to the latest generation. It seems like they are being lazy and content with using the same interface with limited options. Why bother trying new things when the current setup is working? It's comparable to people wanting to stick with Windows 98. LOL. Divi needs to revamp everything, IMO.

Hi Shrey! Thanks for writing a comment, really appreciate that. It could suggest that, but when (like in my case) you have already 50 clients that paid for their existing website that you maintain and host, and they are all build with Divi... than changing it to Elementor Pro would cost you more that it will make you money. So in that case... switching is not really a profitable option... But when creating new websites, yeah my choice is easily made! 😎

@@WPressDoctor There was an automatic renewal set. My credit card was stolen, and they charged that stolen card 8 months later. I wondered how that was possible, and the answer I received was, "We emailed you about the renewal" - which is not true. Additionally, I found out that they can charge even stolen cards. According to the support response: "Kindly be advised that saved payment method details can continue to work even if the physical card has been replaced by the issuing bank with a new one. Stripe works with card networks and automatically updates saved card details whenever a customer receives a new card (for example, replacing an expired card or one that was reported lost or stolen)." Plus, I can't delete the CC number because the platform requires another CC. Elementor is trash
