Mauresmo has thrown her support behind best of 5 women’s matches and as admitted herself, Rybakina often starts off slow adapting to conditions. As the match wears on she is like a freight train unable to be stopped once she finds her groove and rhythm. Fitness was never an issue with her. If we do eventually get best of 5 in slams for the WTA, if she is this good now, I honestly can’t imagine her NOT dominating. Best of 5 would be suit her enormously.

I agree about her finding her groove and being like a freight train when she does. She did that in Rome (and I think she forced the injuries on the three opponents that got injured trying to chase down her laser-fast ground strokes). But I think she’s in better shape than ever - leaner and more toned and it shows in how she’s covering the court better than ever.
