Once she develops the variety and learns how to attack and defend on the move she will be unstoppable(and she will have less back, shoulder and arm injuries from not having to brute force tough wins as much). Iga and Sabalenka will no longer be able to be her rivals. People look at Rybakina’s finals record and scoff but in reality she was way over her head in those finals anyway and the only reason she got to those finals was because she took every window of opportunity given to her and you can’t say that about too many other players. She possesses mental strength that no one else on the WTA can even comprehend and that means she won’t tighten up when she gets to slam finals and life altering tough matchups. She stays focused while the ups and downs of her opponent seal their doom. This is why she beat Iga 3 times in a row this year(if she didn’t stay focused Iga would have won in straight sets in Rome and that retirement wouldn’t have happened), this is why she finally beat Sabalenka and has been close to beating her in every match they have played, and this is why her rank and win percentage climb astronomically every single year(even though she didn’t get points for Wimbledon last year she already has more points this year than she would have if it counted last year and she is nowhere near done)

Stop hating man. I love both players, both are my 2 favourite in the women's circuit. Truth is both have been hit with injuries, Emma more than Elena, but injuries are still the thing that cost Elena at RG(I know that it was sickness) and at Canada this previous week...At the end of the day, both have won a slam, you can't take that away from them, Emma did it in the most epic way possible, legit taken outta of script it seems. That's the thing you would see in a movie, and honestly, it's probably the biggest achivement a tennis player could ever achieve, and it won't be done again. Let's see how she plays after her return. Emma is just as nice and calm as Elena. It's just the media gives more attention to Emma cuz she is British and a teenager.

Which shows Rybakina is adapting. She learned to be more patient in the Kasatkina match

Rybakina doesn’t really hate anyone, she just thinks Ostapenko is a tad ridiculous.

Tough match but Rybakina got through it. Osty's getting her number though. Their clashes are getting closer and closer. Good match.

What are talking about? Rybakina used to lose to Ostapenko. Since her last loss it has been 6-4 6-2 in every match. Rybakina messed on that tiebreak when she had it won but after that it was all Rybakina.

It was an "equal" match for only one reason - since the RG, Elena has been experiencing a general decline in shape. To this was added a small injury.

Elena seemed still recovering from Canadian Open. Her serve was not consistent, I guess it is because of shaken toss. Just happy to watch healthy Elena, expecting those brilliant plays like Indian Wells has been given up for a while.

She hasn’t been completely healthy since the Australian Open. Those straps on her back and shoulders have been there since Doha.
