@@taydencornish Why you do recommend it? Just checked it out and its a carbon copy of the original but with worse mixing and less distinctive vocals. If I wanted that I'd just put lateralus on. To be worth listening a cover needs to bring something new to the table.

I haven't yet worked out exactly what it is yet, but there's something here that explains why Billy from A Perfect Circle let Maynard be their vocalist, even though Billy wanted a female vocalist originally... I'm not sure exactly how they do, but "I know the pieces fit..." 🤘

@@crouton976 Maynard is a super effeminate singer, it is that simple. He nails the female qualities of his voice so well, more so than the male qualities I'd say. It isn't necessarily about high pitched / low pitched / "range" like with Freddie Mercury, just more of a female "feeling" that hones so well, even though his range is pretty great too!

Honest guess is just time crunching. I used to play guitar at a mega church and there’d be special days where the band had to shove a bunch of songs together back to back and straight up only play like half a song and shift to the next one smoothly

I don’t know why but I like how they made the song their own and maybe leaving that part out felt right to them. Normally I would say covering Tool is fools errand but the way they did it really tickled my fancy. And my fancy isn’t tickled often 😋

What an overload to my senses. From goosebumps to tears of angelic emotional simulation. That wasnt a cover. That was an exsample of taking a great song, and expanding its foundation into a masterpiece. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 WOW.

It was freakin RAD! So glad I got to see this in person! I've been watching ER since they played at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville well over a decade ago. It has been a joy watching their enormous success over all the years. Love them all!

This song, have a cigar, and Jefferson rabbit I’ve listened to elephant revival cover everyday for the last 2 months. I love everything they do so much please make more music! Even covers! Just give me more of this pleassseeeee. Ever since I’ve got off fent I’ve needed something to help me sit back and relax(sober) and this does all of that and more. I have love for this band

Incredible cover. Few ever manage to capture the haunting Tool voice and soundscape, this nails it so well it gives me goosebumps. I would love to see Tool's assessment of this creation, 100% certain they would themselves be blown away by it. The vocals alone are incredibly fitting and the tone follows me now for days since I discovered you guys. Love this so much! I will explore the rest of your works now with curiosity and excitement. absolutely magical. the liveness of THIS is tangible. it's like Tool had a baby with itself and that baby performed this. not better. but not worse. so immensely different yet so alike. I'm going to play this a couple hundred times more just to be sure.
