We can't forget the cute cats! They were so sweet..was tempted to take one home but my old cat at home wouldn't be too happy about it. All the vendors were really lovely :) It was such a wonderful day.

Note I was watching this video and you mentioned that your mother had a elephant camp in Pai! OMG! I know your mom Jitty! I remember you and the wedding at her elephant camp long ago. Was that your wedding? I wanted to go but my friend Jack said he didn’t want to go. I did see pictures with your mother belly dancing! Hi Flora and Note, love your videos. Keep them coming. It is our only connection from Australia with Covid restrictions keeping us from traveling. What happens to the male elephants as we note that most sanctuaries have only females. We visited a sanctuary, as part of the elephant hills package, again they were only females.

Thanks for watching! Note also asked the same question and apparently male elephants are more aggressive and more unpredictable. That's probably why more females are rescued. At their sister branch, there is a male elephant there and also a baby elephant.

Great video guys me and my son went to that sanctuary when we was in samui as it was close to Cheong Mon where we was stopping. My son fell in love with the elephants so we had to go 3 times during our stay they are so beautiful and friendly I will definitely be donating . Great job guys and another awesome video thank you . So nice! We’ve been in a sanctuary in chiang mai. These animals are so majestic and intelligent. But it is so sad that most of them had been through so much pain in their lives. Noble work and good tourism. It is fun to get to know elephants and feed them exotic fruits. Koh Samui is a great island and a safe island also one where it is safe and legal to smoke cannabis. I was happy on Koh Samuii and had a good friend in the hotel man; But was mad on my quest to explore Koh Tao Island(written of elsewhere.) After the elephant sanctuary in Hua Hin, Thailand, I wrote and published my essay, 'The Sacred Elephants of Hua Hin,' which is not specific to Hua Hin elephants; and generally mirrors the points you have made regarding the industry, strength, and human-like sentience of elephants(if it is right to call such gentle beasts 'human-like.'

Wonderful episode. Will for sure visit that sanctuary next time on Samui. It's not only humans that suffer during these times so that's nice you visit places like that. Now I will try and find out if they sell and ship their lovely t shirts 😊 edit. Hmm no t shirts so will donate some food instead.

bless them. this warms my heart. animals have the right to live. many of them are also losing their natural home due to massive land clearing in the forest. capitalist greed is a global problem. i can't bear to watch whales & other animals used to perform tricks. it is sad. do not support these places.
