The last part is the best piece of piano music ever written

I agree. It’s so over the top that it’s ridiculous. Puts a smile on my face.

He sure does. Sure glad that I have about 100 vids of Tom playing on this channel over about 10 years.. I still have some from Oakhurst that I never have posted of him playing and in Duet with others performed just a few weeks before his accident...VBR

@@bencarter8324 Correct. Don't get no flatter than that 🙂

This is also quite playable in G and C. But I think it sounds a bit richer in the flat keys.

@@andrewbarrett1537 Have you ever noticed that music always sounds better in the key that you aren't used to? Where a new key removes the "stale" feeling from a piece you listen to frequently?

In addition, Tom appears in duet with the late Nan Bostick on “Dualing At the McCoys” (2003), an EXCELLENT album, as well as guesting on Nan’s second CD “Missing You At the McCoys” (2006); he appears in small band format on the Raspberry Jam Band CD “Raspberries to Crow About” (not sure date) and also guests on one track each of the following: “Ragged Rhythm” (Galen Wilkes’ compositions, 2002), playing track 1, “RX Rag”; “Ragtime Wizardry, Volume 1 (2013) playing his own composition “Delphinium Rag”; and “Ragtime Wizardry, Volume 2” (2019), in a 2015 recording playing Fred Hoeptner’s composition “Portrait in Rag No. 4: A Jingler”. These are all commercial CD releases.

Finally, Tom appears on at least two of the West Coast Ragtime Festival Sampler CDs, which are private issues not for commercial sale, produced by the Sacramento Ragtime Society. I don’t know how many of these CDs have been produced but I have two of them and suspect there must be at least a dozen. Tom gets a few tracks on each. One of the ones I have is the 2009 edition. I can’t remember the year of the other one but it’s later (2011 or 2012?).

@@andrewbarrett1537 Wow. I've heard of a few by now but that is a lot more than I thought. Thank you for sharing. I wonder if there will ever be an archive of those exclusive and rare West Coast Ragtime Festival CDs

Its a about time someone came along and composed, not a competitve work but a flattering work to kitten on the keys!
