@@elevationchurch What a beautiful prayer! Please pray for me too...being in my 50s I would never have believed the amount of abuse/demeaning supervisors & coworkers put in my path & low pay. Fear has crept in as I recently lossed my job due to under the table xyz's. Im such a professional, personable & dedicated employee. I'm new to Summerville SC from WI as a single person on a God-Move. I'VE attempted to find a home church where I feel as true genuine family , mutual relationships NOT JUST on Sundays. My bday & Holidays should NOT be alone. My dog, Faithie (like Faith in God) passed. Plus I had to purchase a different car same time as lossed job. Caught sick at work then new neighbors smoking pot. Now ill. Help pls. Each time I seem to set a boundary...retaliation rears it's ugly head. This is only part of my story being here over 1 year. No fam back home. Thank you Jesus for peace love smiles connection joy & financial freedom... the LIFE I imagined. AMEN❤

Can't just let anybody have access to me on a higher level if they're not willing to come up on a higher level with me. This is it. This was just for me, at almost midnight word. Glory be to God. I also think that when we know God has ordained someone to be in our lives, we tend to pull back on boundaries and give them special passes/treatment. This shouldn’t be so. We should hold everyone to the same standard. I love how she talked about giving someone level 10 access when they haven’t shown level 10 responsibility!

@desertcat3 you get physical and emotional space and express protest about the hurtful behavior, and ask for what behavior you need to see instead. And the space is in effect UNTIL they Apologize Own it without blaming anything or anyone else Acknowledge the pain it caused you Explain what they will do differently next time Offer to make amends, do something to try to refill the good emotions they took away Make the words true with changed behavior And work to earn back your trust.

I liked this, and mostly agree. But we are also called to carry our cross. Love is sacrificial. I'm going to do whatever it takes to care for my elderly dad, even if his mind doesn't always understand boundaries or my energy level. It's ok, I love him. God will give me more than I need if I surrender it to Him.

I am having terrible issues with my daughters and ex husband of 24 years, I didn't choose to ever leave until I could no longer take his abuse. I left the church i was a member, but I told myself I wasn't leaving the lord. I strayed... now ,after 12 long years of searching for a path back to God, now that I finally sought him with all i had, mind ,heart you name it. Now though, my ex and kids have a better relationship than they do with me? Its like I live in the twilight zone??? To the point, my God ,who has been absolutely working real miracles since he rescued me let me somehow hear this ,I was looking for a gospel song , but just before I found this message I prayed not 10 minutes earlier for God to educate me on what boundaries are!!!!! I just want to praise Jesus holy name for loving and forgiving me for turning my back on him. Thank you Lord, and to the woman who God chose to teach me , thank you for your obedience. I forget how important obedience is , when God lays anything on your heart, we should all try our best to do what he is asking. You never know who needs to hear, see what he tells you to share. Thankyou, my cup runneth over.❤

WOW. Setting boundaries for the protection of others. As a highly sensitive overgiver, that one shift in perception has just changed my life.I have always had his belief that I have to sacrifice myself to honor God by giving more of myself then I feel comfortable with. When it leads to me being used, abused and taken advantage of I explode. I have never looked at setting boundaries as being a form of love for others. Because essentially you are protecting them from being her. Wow just wow

Exactly! I kept my humility, a teaching of Jesus and kept going back and expecting better from that other person. I allowed the mistreatment because I thought that was WJWD. I now realize the difference between forgiveness, good (& required) goodbyes, and why we need to set healthy boundaries. Trust Him and keep looking up for His guidance to let you know that you've already learned those lessons that are preparing you for the next chapter in your life.

Tammy we are praying for you and Susan today and grieving with you during your time of loss. Nothing in life can prepare us for the death of a loved one, but we have a God who is sufficient in comforting us during our time of grief. Lord God, we ask that you touch Tammy and Susan today and let them feel your comfort. Your word promises us that you heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds and we petition you today to heal the broken hearts of these women. We are trusting in your word that you, Lord, are near to the brokenhearted and save the crushed in spirit. We thank you for your abundant love, mercy and grace and ask you to wipe away every tear from their eyes and fill their hearts with your joy. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Please pray that I learn to stop dancing qorh disfunction when it comes to my co-parent. I'm due April 13, 2023. My co-parent is very inconsistent. I am tired of getting hurt, going through disappointment, not understanding why he doesn't care, and "wishing" he cared about his daughter.

Angie Torres, we are praying for you and your unborn child. We praise God for the gift of new life and we ask that He continue to mold you and teach you and give you all you need to care for your child. Father, we are asking you to stay close to Angie. To walk with her and talk with her. To give her your eyes to see, your ears to hear, your mind to think and your feet to walk in the paths you would have her walk. As she learns to trust in you give her the strength, hope, peace and love that she needs to grow this child up in the way you would have her. Restore her family to completion and alignment with you. We love you, thank you and praise you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

My sermon notes for "Boundaries: its time to stop dancing with dysfunction" : 1.) You get used to dysfunctions and tag them normal because you have lived in dysfunctions for a while, where there is dysfunction there is often chaos and where there is chaos that is a indication that there is a need for boundary in your relationship 2.) The more access you have is the more responsibility is expected, a boundary without restriction/ consequence is a bad suggestion, healthy boundaries are not only a good idea but they are also God's idea. Dysfunction grows where there is too much access, not enough boundary, put a boundary on yourself instead of putting boundaries on someone else. Setting boundaries is crucial for your own health, boundaries help you avoid extremes and keeps you stay safe, sane, stable, and self controlled. It is important to set boundaries in your life without losing who you are, boundaries ultimate purpose is to love others well without losing the best of who you are 3.) Never take your eyes off the master, keep your eyes on the master. You always want things from people when you feel God won't provide 4.) Success will lead you to more space but not more responsibility, success is not permission for you to ignore the basic and foundation, good stewardship is not selfishness but is wisdom

“Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This sermon was good but we need to be very careful when teaching such words in the church of God. I do not believe that everything is just about access, responsibility and boundary. I do believe that the Lord uses all kind situations including these dysfunctional situations to teach us about patience, love, self-control, forgiveness and gentleness. Keeping the eyes on the Master also means to live the way he did. Jesus did build more bridges than boundaries. Remember the "New You" might also means "losing who you think you are" !
