Yesterday i was in church here in Kenya and saw a something that was contrary to what i had anticipated...i questioned God a lot and was almost giving up on what He told me, i came home stressed really trying hard to encourage myself, elevation church was live that evening coz of the time difference, i watched this but then dozed off, today i felt the urge to listen to this again, and you speak about 'This isnt what i pictured' my thoughts exactly, God is working in you sir, you have no idea how many times God has used you to speak to my situation. This spoke to my spirit in several ways. My mom was leaving this life for her eternal one Feb 1,2019 and I was staying to take care of my dad till he was called home June 6, 2022. I left my life in Pa behind me not knowing what was coming. I didn't know , but God did. This message prepared me to go deeper in my faith to walk in the frame that God has for me. My life is nothing like I pictured as a child, and I'm so thankful for the picture that God's revealing to me as I walk by faith. Protected from Covid and provides all my needs as I walk in faith. Praise God

I’m watching this in December of 2021. I’m from the future when this sermon was posted , and I needed to hear this! Praise God!

Always a word to help. Prayers for my 3 kids please. While we were all looking forward to xmas, their father was trying to get discharged from the hospital in time. He was discharged last Sunday, and spirits were high. Sunday morning he suffered a sudden event, and his kids were doing CPR on him. The medics got here, but couldn't save him. My kids are all born again, and I know that our God is faithful. They are just really hurting now, so thank you for your prayers.💞💞

This message was 🔥🔥! I literally asked God in my morning prayers if the desires in my heart are from him and not from my selfish nature and this message confirmed every question in the following hour 🙌🏾Nothing this year is what I “pictured”, but God is WITH me ❤️

"I gotta do it like the pieces inside my box are meant for the picture!" My, oh, my! This blessed me.

Some points that stood out to me -"It's difficult to adjust your perspective when you pictured it one way when the product turns out to be another" -"Where did you get your picture from ?" "You compare the real thing to a picture who was surgically altered then cropped and filtered. How are we supposed to feel about our REAL lives when we spend so much time getting our picture from other people's pretention?' 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I'm so guilty of putting myself in a comparison trap. Looking at people's lives through tv (when most of it ain't even real) or social media (when usually people only share the beautiful parts of their lives). I DON'T know about y'all, but I am trying to get this MIND right before going into 2020! My life is NOT like I had once pictured, but God has a plan! This sermon is too good!!

35:40 reminds me of a concept called 'object permanence'. Object permanence is the understanding that objects continue to exist even when they cannot be perceived (seen, heard, touched, smelled or sensed in any way). Infants and toddlers struggle with it. Hence, peek-a-boo is such a fun game to them because they actually think that if you put your hands in front of your face, you're actually gone. And then when you take your hands down, you reappear. Like magic. I feel like it's the same with God. We have to develop 'object permanence' or 'God permanence'. Believe that God is there, even if He seems to have left the picture.

I was just thinking about this now even an hour ago. Why did I expect? Knowing that most of the time, I'm set up for disappointment because of what I thought. It was just for ME, amen thank you Jesus! ✝️

I promise you, God used you to bless me today! Steven Furtick, may God bless you with more than enough. I am in the "strangest place" I have ever been in my entire life. Literally this morning as I took my kids to the bus stop I said, when I get back home I am going to spend time seeking God and asking Him what is going on here and to reveal what He is trying to get out of me through this season in my life. OTW home Erica Campbell's faith walk was about trials and how God uses them for His purpose that He has in us. I get back home and I see your sermon on youtube. Being honest, I am in the season where I cant see Him AT ALL, so when you did the frame scenario and went out then back in, I sat here at my desk and wept! God knows! This is confirmation that He knows there is so much more in me! He has a plan and yes I am one who is challenged by "what I had in mind" , but am reminded daily that His ways are not ours ways. For anyone who is with me in this season where your faith is on trial, stand strong in Him and when we can't stand, let's just fall back into His arms. God has issued us the real "Trust Challenge". God is with us! Even when I cant see him, working! He never stops! He never stops working!

I didn't picture when God gave me the gift of my beautiful gift of my son in 1990.....that 27 years later he would ask for him back. I am learning to trust his purpose ❤

I'm just a stay at home mom .... And that is huge. I prayed for him and wished on a star ... God gave me a beautiful miracle son and his name means "God has heard!" What a blessing and I will raise the child in a way that he should go Amen!

I lost my 23 year old son one year ago today. God set my son free. I never imagined! I know God has a purpose. God loves my son more than I do. It hurts so bad and it feels as if I’m just going through the motions of life but He is with me. I keep repeating this sermon starting at 33 minutes. Our mind is not God’s mind and struggle with understanding why my son but I just believe and have faith my God is in control. Amen Abba Father .

This was a great message. We want to look good on the outside and God wants us to be good on the inside. The hard part is people won't even except us if we dont look good on the outside. It's a battle.

I watch Pastor Steve often, the words of wisdom ALWAYS at the exact right time I need to hear it. I just wanted to add my vote to this. My vote is for Mary, not only did she have to face the idea of her immaculate conception, but she knew the reason for His birth and that one day she would have to "give him up" sacrifice him for ALL mankind. I could NOT even imagine sacrificing my own child!! Yet she still bore him, raised him and loved Him like any mother would their child. That is way harder than what Joseph faced, but that is just my 2 cents. Thank you & God Bless

Yes thank you I believe because close to 11 months ago from this year I was deep depression and anxiety, non wanted thought I never in my life think of to due Brith control it’s was never pictured . Thank god my husband and his and my family help me a lot what all of us were going thought god help me to get my pictures back what the emeny had taken my joy I thank god everyday for a everything he had done for me and my family. I go to every Sunday to hear his voice and understand that you got this I’m here 😊
