I also like the look of the rock garden we created. While the rest of my yard is a disaster, having one (very) small section gives me hope of what’s to come.

We built a beautiful new home and I wanted a first-class hose reel to water my bonsai collection that's spread across about 250 feet of back yard. I bought a super-deluxe powder coated directionally flexible reel from Griots Garage. The damn thing rusted within a couple months and wouldn't flex anymore. I returned it and they sent a new one that did the same damn thing. I finally sprung for an Eley and now I'm a happy man. Eley's the best.

Kick ass set up Dino! And I know the cost of these Eley reels and hoses is pretty staggering…but its 2023 and if you want supreme quality hoses and reels made to last a lifetime (and made in the USA), well…you gotta pay the price. Having said that, I can’t say enough about the hoses and reels produced by Eley. I have two of their reels and four of their hoses now. I use the hoses for home and work-contractor…. Tool wise, some of the best purchases Ive ever made. My days of wrangling cheap crappy hoses onto poorly constructed reels are in the rear view mirror now. Great video, Dino. And no, I don’t work for Eley.

Thanks for watching! I used Quikrete Fast Setting.Dump it in the ground and add water. Super easy.

Hi, quick question or two for you. Did you use a 4x4 post? If so, did the provided lag bolts in the kit for the post mount installation work for you? They are nearly 3 inches long. I'm wondering if I will need smaller lags so they don't meet in the middle somewhere. Thanks in advance for your insight!

The post I used was a 6x6 (actual measurement is 5-1/2 x 5-1/2) so I didn't have an issue. I think you will want the same because of the width of the mount. I was luck because I had a scrap piece from when I tore down an old fence.

$221 Dollars, are you freaking kidding me. I clicked the hose reel plus 125' hose and the price was $440.97. LOL, whatever. You think it will function well and see a lot of use. For that kind of money there better have been a guy there to put it together for you and bring you a drink every half hour.

I agree, Indy. $221 is about TWO CARTONS of cigarettes! My God, can you imagine paying that much for a hose reel? One whole MONTH wortha butts???
