This elf has cost me more money, headaches, stress, nightmares etc. I started this the first year it came out (10 years ago?) and my daughter is now 13 and STILLLLLL WONT LET IT GO!! I told her this year that I think Edward knows she’s gotten so much older and the big huge productions that he used to put on every night won’t be happening. I literally would sit outside in my car cutting stuff out, gluing stuff etc etc because I was so worried that she would wake up and come out into the room and see me lol. I literally would spend hundreds of dollars every year making these huge productions. Part of me loves it and part of me hates myself for every starting it. 😂😕😫 I love these ideas but I’ve honestly done almost all of them and with a teenager, I needed to do big productions. Filled the entire bathtub up with pink balloons and printed out a ton of “bubblegum” pictures and bought a dozen different kinds of gum, taped all the pictures up all over the tub, filled the tub with blown up pink balloons that were “bubble gum bubbles”, bought gum all machines and filled them up with gum, and put the elf in the corner with gum (a popped gum bubble) all over his head. That was just one dang night. I did stupid way too crazy expensive crap like this for 30 days!!! 30 days because my dumb butt who was all excited at the time to start a new “tradition” with just the two of us (single mom here) decided to have the elf arrive the morning after thanksgiving. That really sucks when thanksgiving is on Like the 24th lol

Very cute. Tip on gum ball ornament. Take a soda pop tab and glue to cup and add a wingnut to look like knob to turn and take a sharpie and black out bottom hole of tab. Looks like the puff balls have a real looking handle and hole to come out.

So I will be waiting of course until she is at the age to appreciate it and understand. But it seems like so much fun! I can see where it gets pricey on us parents lol.
