I was lucky enough to spend time in Kenya in the early 70s. Such beautiful women! And they were very nice to me! 😂 They made sure I enjoyed my time there! Sometimes I would check into a hotel and the housekeeper would come in right away to be sure I was satisfied!😂

I love every bit of this movie!!! I like the concurrent projection of African cultures and norms portrayed in the character of Shiro... Shiro sounds just like my braider! She has taught me so much about the MOTHERLAND! The hissing has me dying because she’s always doing that when she gets riled up. She also taught me how she carries her 3 year old on her back. She sometimes carries her when she’s sleepy while she’s braiding my hair and the movement rocks her to sleep. love her and her family! She doesn’t practice polygamy because she’s like me and refuses to share her husband who is white. They have multiple business and braiding is just something she enjoys, is awesome at and earns really good money while doing it! One thing about African’s………..they’re going to make that money!

Good job! But in reality, it's not done this way. You don't just bring a woman home and introduce her to Wife 1 as Wife 2. And wise polygamists have separate homes for each wife, or a large compound with separate apartments.
