Why did I come back to this? It’s not saved. He pops up in my mind every once in awhile over the years. There’s gotta be a reason. Cause I’m not the only one.
@ednaselm2 ай бұрын
There may be a reason....I just copied this from a comment above, a year ago: "As of 2022, he's been struggling with some health issues and has been working with doctors to figure things out. He still performs on facebook every week (he had to step back from in person appearances). His passion is just as present now as it was then." He had a fund raiser and I hope he's doing better...Take Care

I can't believe how long it's been since this aired on television. Wow. I still come here every now and then throughout the years and listen to this. So amazing. I don't often listen to this type of music but it's very hard to not appreciate the talent that Eli has. I absolutely love this.
@MkiVRCK3 жыл бұрын
I genuinely don't know what it is about this, but I still come back to it every so often after 12+ years, and it never loses quality. Whether it was the voice, persona, passion, whatever - there was just something on another level about this dude that I haven't heard since. Hope he's doing well and living the dream x

I agree w Sharon. The music industry is not always about the talent of the artists and it seems more and more it is about connections. This was a flawless and brilliant performance. Way to go Eli...
@peterlewis35409 жыл бұрын
I always love to return to this particular video, simply because he has such a magnificent voice and stage presence. Few artists who appear on Britains or Americas Got talent have natural raw talent. Eli Mattson was a simply brilliant performer, a shame he did not win the competition but i bet he is making a living as a recording artist, talent like that is rare.
@ipromise929 жыл бұрын
Eli is amazing, he is the one singer i have been looking for, for years. he has amazing talent and i agree and respect your comment :) i find he sounds like almost Default back in the early 200's but better

This audition is testament to the integrity of an artist's soul. A true artist that takes a part from his inside and pours that over his performance. 2021 now, I'll come back to it as long as I live or as long as they don't bring down KZfaq.
@audreyrbenck12 жыл бұрын
I listen to this weekly. Over and over again. He has one of the best voices I have ever heard and can only hope to hear replace the auto tune on the radio. He is one of those people who doesn't need years of vocal coaching, a fancy routine or lit up stage to amaze an audience. Eli's voice is so captivating, not to mention his humility and adorable nature.

I love how Sharon is nearly in tears in the end of the song i've had the pleasure to have met Eli on many occasions mostly because he is from around the area that I live in right now I can truly say that he is an amazing musician he is a very very nice guy he is very friendly very cool to talk to, He has really cool stories not only stories that he tells by word but also through his music . It's too bad that he doesn't really play anymore.

I understand this man, Eli, was seriously injured a few years ago and has put a halt to his music career. Even though this isn't my very first choice in music style, I have to be honest and say that I really do enjoy listening to him sing and perform. Not sure what it is, but it's like I feel he belongs to be there on stage entertaining. I believe Eli is genuine...what you see on stage is the real deal. I know that's what makes him happy... one hell of a performer and I wish him a full recovery. He deserves it.
