Perhaps my favorite story..I love how Elijah mocked Ahab, Baal and the rest of Baals priest. Elijah DECLARED Gods edicts to his people and PROVED who he is to the Nation of Israel (as well as the entire world - we STILL tell this story of Gods greatness today).

When I was a child, my mother told me of a time when she was a child. She said they were poor, and were going through a right time. All they had was rice and beans, and coffee. Her father, my grandfather, prayed for God to provide for his children. The rice and beans and coffee never ran out until they were doing better.

just different translation. Jehovah actually a translation of YHWH which means Yahweh or Yahovah. Some translators use the words "The Lord". But it all means same things.

Look up and have a bigger vision. You’re not doing life on your own. Yes, you have natural parents, relatives, but your Heavenly Father controls the universe. He makes ways when you don’t see a way. He’s not limited by who raised you, by your background, by what seems impossible. Get a new perspective. Start believing that you’re favored, declaring good things are coming, then you’ll see your Heavenly Father turn impossible situations around and take you further than you ever dreamed. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of "eternal" life to all who trust Him "alone" for salvation. Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
