It sounds like "Great dreams from Heaven" which is also a composition from Joseph Spence. Ry Cooder played it on his album "Into the purple valley" Cooder must have listened a lot to Joseph Spence.

Awesome Elijah Wald! you've got him down-pat on that 'Oh How I Love Jesus' - no easy feat. In fact I've never heard anyone get Spence down any closer in the 25 years since my whole world was transformed on hearing him for the first time. How 'bout a video on that 14-minute early version (1960 maybe? the second album) of 'Living On The Hallelujah Side'? Thanks for the great pickin' and the Inspiration

This guy is cool. When I saw him to his lecture I was like...Wow...this guy tells it like it is. Nahh....I just liked his Blues Guitar style.

Are those simply muted strings leading into notes like the high A at 2:47? Is there anything in this video that goes into explaining that? To me it's a big part of Spence's style and Elijah Wald seems to play it consistently with those "lead-in" notes every time he plays it. Great video, thanks for sharing it.

the song is true, i dont want an argument on here but, ask yourself how the world got here, how space got here, its not possible for it to just be here, there is a way that is is here. and that is god.

You clearly paid no attention in your physics/science lessons; the present theory is far more satisfactory than suggesting that an imaginary person 'thought' things into existence.
