Thanks for the microscope reviews Buddy. In addition to electronics I've recently been dabbling in watch repair... and my eyes just aren't up to the task. Traditionally watchmakers use loupe magnifiers, and while that works, being hunched over a bench with a magnifier stuck in your eye gets old pretty fast. I'm amazed what's available in the ~$200- $300 price range for these microscopes. Your reviews arrived right when I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a purchase.

The longer distance between the PC board and the lens is important because it allows one to use the hot air handle at a more vertical position instead of blowing hot air at an angle. Thanks for the review Buddy.

When i worked for Hewlett-Packard years ago, i soldered under a stereo microscope all day. To this day, i am really surprised i never got headaches from doing this!!! It kinda felt like trying to keep your eyes crossed all day.

Thanks Buddy for this microscope video. As a kid there was always a microscope, the old optical ones, within reach to view small things not visible to the naked eye. Your video has encouraged me to buy one of these state of the art models which has many applications.
