What minerals do I need to replace if I drink distilled water?
In short, you do not need to replace any minerals. Distilled water does lack minerals, but your body gets minerals from food. Most of the minerals in tap water or mineral water are ones we generally have too much of anyway. If you do still want to add minerals then a supplement like Formula 56 is recommended, it is designed for distilled water. I learned the hard way about tap water in my ultrasonic humidifier after getting a nasty sinus infection from the dusty and ick it caused.

What a great product and so good to see that it is making your busy life a bit easier on you. Think I'm going to have to give it a go also especially at home where it is definitely more apparent than in the office and yes the residue is an absolute nightmare to deal with and can't say that I will miss it.

Thank you, Hannah, your video was very helpful. I learned about a couple of things I’ve been doing incorrectly with my distiller. My Alocasias and Calatheas insist on distilled water or they get crispy tips and edges. Thanks again.

I’ve been using this machine for about a year to combat the same issues. I bought it on Amazon US, and it’s still going, and no more white dust. I’m still finding hidden corners where the white powder is hiding. I will say it’s a lot of work when you live in a dry climate as I do to keep up with the distilling. I can’t make enough to water my plants. I do collect rainwater.

Now I just have to talk my huband into letting me buy one. I need it to water plants too. We have hard water with too much chlorine and fluoride which calathea and many other hate.

Thanks Hannah, that’s really useful. Am also suffering with the dreaded white stuff. It is a pain. I’ve got both a Levoit and Elechomes humidifier and I have to say the Elechomes produces much more white stuff than the Levoit for some reason. Weird I know.
