For the longest time I really struggled with the Twins ‘cause I didn’t know to keep their health the same

If you got the supercooling chamber overclock, this is THE mission type to use it on. Build your M-1000 for max damage in every slot, zip to behind the dread and hit it with focused shots to delete it's health.

Everyone always forgets that the standard dreadnought can also spit a ball that spawns glyphid swarmers. I don't blame them. It's a bit forgetable, sonce the dreadnought doesn't do it much, and it's visually similar to the fireball attack. I hope they fix that.

Tips I have, General: Some events might pop cocoons be prepared Some events might also KILL the dreads outright...but not all of them so don't always count on it. Single Target DPS is Great and very much needed in this gametype but be sure to bring at least one anti swarm weapon with you. swarmers may not be a giant car sized bug but they can be the 1000th papercut needed to down you. Twins: When the twins are healing up they are invincible the entire time. This is the perfect opportunity to reload your guns, reposition or grab some ammo. Arb attacks are there fireballs or delayed explosions. in ether case to be safe just move away from where the ball hits. Lacs will pop up from the ground in one attack which can be deadly near cliffs. best to fight them in narrow areas Hiveguard: Hiveguard can delay summoning their minions for a while which leaves them invulnerable and annoying espeically if they are just breaking terrain. If your a scout my recommendation is to tap the hive guard with your pickaxe to get them to summon them. Works 60% of the time, every time! Sentenals are just pretorians with a different skin and a bigger weakness. but they die and leave beind goop that can slow your teammates...and the hiveguard. Might be useful to get it to stand still in phase 2 Driller: Flamethrower isn't great for this mission all the dreads have fire resistance. Cryo is okay if you have a team that can capitalize on it but Goo in my opinion is the best option. Slow goo, with the Nurotoxin and slow ray on the cooker can make the dreadnaugh slow to a crawl. This gives your teammates tons of time to maneuver around and shoot weakpoints while applying a constant DPS from multiple sources. Driller can control when dreads come out and its sometimes smart to have the driller c4 the cocoon while everyone is in position at a safe arena rather then sending the scout to lure it back. Gunner: Gunner has two jobs in this game type. Face tank and deal damage. So my suggestion is the Defense Thunderhead with the Neurotoxin mod. It not only lets you do dps to the dreads but also slow it down and for some reason it agros bugs a lot. so if you stack on vet depositior and have your emotional support molly with your gonna have 80% damage resistance while laying down the hurt. Also Neurotoxin from the mod applies reguardless if they are invulnerable so you can literally just love tap the hive guard if they catch you unawares If you want to deal damage Mole Coilgun is the way to go. with the right set up a Driller with mole can destroy a normal dread in 3 shots. Scout:As scout you have one of two roles. Ether annoy the dread and kite it around so teammates can shoot the weakpoints or be the master assassin that zips around the dread and constantly pounds the weakpoints. It all depends on how you wanna play. My loadout is M1k with Electric charge shots, pheromone crossbow with cold arrows and cold grenades, Since fire isn't really useful on dreads loading a scout up with cold is a great way to apply a slow and open up opportunities to deal damage. a frozen charge shot with the m1k also does SICK dps even when unfrozen! Engineer: Engies your goal is simple. Fill the arena with repel cheese, set up guns so it always has an angle on the ass and bring your Lok-1 with Executioner or Nuroal lasso. If you have it Hyperpropellent is great for Dreads. But please do not bring your fatboy. Stubby and its arch OC is also a fun way to apply the hurt to dreads. And your team so watch your placement Dreads do not care about lures. Lures are more for adds. Although Dreads are effected by Repel on the platform gun. Its just it requires a lot more to deter them.

I find ntp to be completely useless for elims tbh, i prefer big bertha or lead storm for minigun, and lead spray brt. Big bertha still has an aoe, and it has the massive single target damage that you want for elims

@@theebo9101 Thats fair, I like neuro as it slows down the dreads and opens them for damage and lets shots that don't hit the weakpoint to at least do a small amount of neuro damage. BB and LS are great at focusing down dreads. My playstyle is more to make sure the dreads only care about me, while my teammates plink away at it. So i rarely get the opportunity to shoot at the weakpoints. also neuro lets me save ammo on grunts, a 6-7 shots into a swarm and i don't have to worry about them as the dots take care of the lot.

The driller has the satchel charge, and with 2 power up upgrades it does 875 damage, it deals ~1/3 of the hiveguards health, so do it twice before it recovers and your almost done. Get an army of 4 drillers and just demolish the thing XD

I find the Hiveguard more laborious than hard.This is due to the old man speed it has if you are trying to move it to a better room for fighting plus it can just get lost and try digging instead of the direct tunnel that is already there. He also has a tendency to bite with his butt, meaning no matter what side of him you're on it'll still hit you.

1000+ hour greybeard here: OG Dread is in my experience the MOST PUNISHING fight - when the devs added th other two dreadnoughts, they balanced the OG to match the new fighting styles and by from what I have seen and heard, he is WAY harder now than he ever was. If you make a mistake with the OG, he will WIPE your team. Twins are the EASIEST but also MOST TEAM ORIENTED - I always try and get on the comms if we have a twins battle to tell greenbeards that the twins get ONE FREE HEAL, which can be minimised by keeping their health as close as possible, and then after that if they health difference is 30% or more, they become invulnerable and heal again. It is sometimes beneficial to focus fire one if: A - your team needs multiple revives in which case you should focus one so they go away and heal and stop attacking you for about 10 seconds B - one of them is super low health (25% or less you can usually DPS down fast) The Hiveguard is almost always the LONGEST and most RNG dependent fight - anecdotally, the Hiveguard has the worst AI, especially when in the Sentinel phase, because they seem to struggle with digging in a consistent way and not taking ages to get to you. During this phase as well, the Hiveguard herself is extremely passive and so won't often dig to your team herself. This sometimes means that setting up in a different room and then blowing the egg and waiting for it to dig to you takes longer than just fighting in the egg room. A driller's C4 is best for the second stage, with the armour flaps, and can do massive damage to all 3 at once. A few miscellaneous tips: While a Dread is active, meteors and other swarms WILL NOT SPAWN - I have had meteors make the "breaking the atmosphere noise" then we spawned a dread and it WAITED until we finished to actually land in the cave. Wardens can buff Dreads, and TWINS CAN HEAL MORE THAN ONE ANOTHER - had a game once where through a glitch, we killed a lacerator and the arbalest dug and didn't resurface. When later, we pulled another set of twins, on their first heal, BOTH original twins joined in and all 4 healed each other. Bulk detonators can kill instantly: OG dreads AT ANY POINT (except when health is gray) Hiveguards ONLY WHEN HEALTH IS RED WITH NO ARMOUR Twins AT ANY POINT

yay another video! 6:59 the mere fact I got this far before even having anything to say speak to the quality of the script. You should have noted that all the Dreadnoughts are (technically) immune to being lit on fire. This is especially important because Scout's G2K Bullets of Mercy Overclock will need a different element to combo with. And because the dreadnoughts unfreeze so quickly, The Corrosive Sludge Pump gets more application since it (and Neuro-Lasso for the LoK-1 Smart Rifle) are one of the very few effects with slowdown that actually work on dreadnoughts. [From what I understand, they ignore the slowdown from from IFGs as well] Additionally, the Sludge Pump is incredibly useful against the Twins since it'll eat their armour off. Other than that, great video.

I honestly would like to see a "dungeon" unique mission type, kinda like more complex deep dives with unique bosses and rooms, and be an 8 player mission. and maybe there could be one where you find a mega datavault that the rival company built, or a super deep glyphid hive nest where you do fight a queen

Driller with the Nero toxin slow ray microwave and slow goop is great vs all three types. Dreads big deal is speed and armor. This Takes away the speed and applies dps to both armor and health. Your not the deadly one but you are essential for keeping your team on its feet.

Little tips for every Dreadnought: • Standard Dreadnought Think of this as of fighting a very big and very chunky pretorian. On higher hazards his fiery stomp attack basically oneshots, so try to keep your distance. Dreadnoughts have full fear immunity, so don't bother with any fear modifiers. Best tag-team combo is surprisingly cryocannon driller and grenade launcher engineer: by freezing the dread you disallow him to enter his little invincibility period while he is growing his shell back, thus shaving around ~25% of his hp and then tapping him with a nuke or hyperpropelled grenade from engi's launcher for another ~15%, making the last stage of the fight much more comfortable. • Twins Do *NOT* focus just one of them. You're just gonna waste more ammo trying to bruteforce your way through their constant health exchange. These little buggers like to teleport around the arena, so keep them constantly pinged with LCtrl to be able to see them through walls. You can still try the cryo+nadelauch combo from previous tip, but be sure to aim for the kill, otherwise it's just going to prolong a fight which is quite hectic as it is. You should try methodically wear both of them down at the same rate so you don't have to deal with their health exchange bullcrap. MWP here is usually the scout - he can illuminate the arena and make it a little easier to spot the dreads and dash out of harms way if things go south. Gunner's shield actually doesn't protect from arbalest's bombs (if thrown inside the shield) and lacerator's shockwaves, so keep that in mind. • Hiveguard Oh boy, this mofo. Sit and pray you don't have to face him that often. In case you do: Sludge damage over time + microwave cooker with blistering necrosis is a very specific, but efficient build for driller. Sentinels are still going to be a pain to deal with, but you can just tap them twice ot thrice with a sludge and wait for poison to do its thing rather than dumping a whole magazine of normal bullets. The weak spot on this dread is by far the hardest to hit, so just cover him in goo to slow him down and blisters for your team to pop. Also your C4s are a good option for damaging the weak spots. Gunner's best bet is either BRT overclocked for damage or mole gauss. You also can try and get fancy with autocannon AoE mods, but I do not have any of them so it's kinda hard for me to tell if it's a good idea or not. Engineer and scout can run basically whatever they see fit. If the driller runs cryo, you know what to do.
@carljohan9265

Cryo cannon is actually really bad against twins sadly, as they tend to bury whenever you get close to freezing them and this resets their temperature. Be warned.

@@carljohan9265 true, I completely forgot to mention that I usually run cryo with freezing speed mods & overclock which is just enough to freeze the twins before they bury into the ground.
