July 2022. These older Elinchrom strobes are brilliant, If you are an armature (like me) there are fantastic bargains to be had. I'm using the even older Style 300S and 600S models. Super easy to use analogue sliders for power and all the high quality features you need (except for built-in radio control and HSS.) I love 'em.

This is so much easier to understand than the included instructions. Elinchrom should provide a link to this video with the units themselves. There are more features available in this unit than I realized. One thing...you really need to improve the sound quality.

great video! i am using a sony A7II AND A6000, i wanted to know if its possible to used a PHOTTIX ODIN transmitter and receiver to synchronize with the elinchrom bx 500 ri and use only the ODIN transmitter to control the setting of the strobe without touching the strobe for setting ?? help...
