ELIO began writing songs when she moved to Canada from Wales as a child and retreated to her bedroom, teaching herself to write, record and produce her own music. At just 23, ELIO, aka Charlotte Grace Victoria, is a master of her craft, producing intricately detailed songs from her bedroom, which speak to her generation and their shared experience of loneliness, often played out for strangers to follow online. this song is so bittersweet to me because of the circumstances that I first discovered it and the subsequent events that followed. Every time I listened to it I felt a little twinge in my heart. I associated this song with a certain memory which involved a certain someone that, as much as I want to forget, would persist in my mind. I wish I could forget them and these memories but it also hurts to completely erase that time from my life. Sometimes I wish that none of it had ever happened so that I wasn't so attached but deep down I know that I was truly and wholeheartedly happy when I was with them. It's just that it ended really badly and now I can't help but still hate and love them at the same time.

I also have a bittersweet attachment to this song about someone I couldn't have but still hold onto. Part of me wishes it never happened but part of me is also glad it did. The love and hate is so real, as well as a a bunch of conflicting feelings in between. I believe this song captures that perfectly.

I LOVE THIS SONG ON SPOTIFY. Can I just say, that you have a wonderful voice. Just need to practice microphone distances and dynamics. The singer of movements (pat) is very good at doing this and he always sounds amazing through the microphone.

lol if youve paid attention to mainstream live music the last decade, most pop acts and tons of indie bands use some backing tracks in addition to their live setup. go listen to punk or jazz if u want it raw, this is what pop performances look like now

@@shane9076 I've paid a lot of attention and been very much involved to the live music scen over the past 20+ years. I've performed with some backing previously too. I don't, however, mime along and pretend that I'm playing a part I very clearly am not. It's an embarrassment.
