All things considered, Celestine was incredibly nice and merciful with that nurglite heretic. Not only she gave him a VERY quick death, she also talked him into expressing regret for worshiping chaos BEFORE doing the murder, likely denying Nurgle's claim for that soul.

She actually did the (former) Nurglite cultist a favor. The diseases and rot plaguing his body are incurable, and without Nurgle's blessing, he will suddenly feel and suffer from every one of them, rather than be able to survive and ignore their taint. His death was far more merciful. Plus, by getting him to repent then purging all Nurglite bits and gubbins from his flesh and soul via holy fire, she basically gave him a one-way ticket to the Imperial Afterlife/Astronomicon Afterlife, which is heaven compared to the Chaos afterlife. So good on her.

First Last nurgle..is far from evil. He is by his very nature amoral. He is Life. So long as things live he lives. He is the eldest and most primal chaos god, becuse he is every living thing. He is nearly incapable of evil becuse he predates its conception haveing been born at the moment life came to be. The first microbe in existence is nurgle. He predated even death. Though it did follow soon after, Their must be chaos before order after all.. Nurgle is not evil. Becuse evil is irrelevant for things desire to live. He’s incapable of it. As is Khorne. Only Tzentch and Slaanesh are capable of evil, And only Slaanesh meets the description haveing been born from vice, excess and depravtiyy itself. -:- His worshipers on the other hand? Are plenty evil. Like worshiping the incarnated conception of life does not make them exempt from morals. But life? Literally all desire to continue living made manifest. So long as one being still lives will live? Yeah. Can’t really attribute evil to nurgle. He just doesn’t understand you have any more value then a microbe. Becuse..objectively you don’t. You just get to think you do.

First Last he is not nature, that’s a eldar thing a conception we give. It’s in his domains. He is again all life.. including the rampant unchecked kind.. certinally viruses try to force you to join them, they torture and forciably co opt cells, as do dolphins and cats, it’s far to say nature and it’s beasts don’t torture, intimidate or lack in cruelty. And invasive species oh my isn’t that a doozy. Not again their is anything evil about that. Evil is a us thing. It’s a thing we believe in and project onto others. Nurgle is everything life is, and that includes..Rampant, unchecked, brutlistic, unwilling to compromise, and cruel. None of those things are evil. They just are. Well, their evil to us more accurately except when we do them to other things. Eh, in summary evil is a order thing. It’s an attempt to force and order good and evil unto something unorderly nature and it’s tendency to be brutally unfair. Nurgle has desired and it’s the desire of life as a collective, expand, encompass, devour. What every species has always tried to do, from the smallest ants, viral prions, plants even.
