Not worried about longevity...anyone buying this car new won't care either. But it would driving me f'in crazy with how slow the back seats move. I'd fall asleep waiting.

As a first time Mercedes Benz owner and a GLS 580 owner I am 100% thrilled every time I get in and drive someplace. We took this on a 2000 mile journey and averaged 22.5 -23 mpg. All four of us were supremely comfortable and the driving assist with massaging seats are truly relaxing. We have put about 4000 miles on it to date and look forward to many more

I wish mercedes still made diesel in the USA. I switched to a Tahoe with the diesel gets me 30+ mpg in mixed driving and 35+ on the highway.

@@hajjdawood we sold our 2016 Yukon Denali XL after 6 years of ownership in 2022. We enjoyed it. But this is a far superior daily driver and rider. It was about the same fuel wise

@@user-xs2px1pb9k Unfortunately mercedes abandoned diesel in the USA while GM embraced it. Fuel wise it doesn't even come close to the much bigger Yukon with the diesel

I like the GLS but my biggest gripes are those wheels on this test model, the front calipers should be monoblock 4 or 6 pistons vs the cheap caliper shown, you can only get the soft Nappa leather in black (not a fan of the rough leather) and Mercedes still does not offer Digital Key or a key card.

After owning GM's 3.0L diesel I refuse to buy another large SUV from anyone else until they get diesel. I get amazing mpg (30 in mixed driving, 35 on the highway) for what is essentially a brick. Super smooth acceleration, great interior and technology. I use to dog on GM but I feel they really hit it out of the park with the diesel.

I'm waiting for all the luxury brands to start offering the digital rearview mirror, since the hardware is mostly there. Some people may not like ot, but they can just use the mirror normally. Brands like Toyota/Lexus and now Range Rover have them

I have rode in a 2019 navigator it was a bit uncomfortable I have also rode in a 2020 gle and it was amazing and nice and fast it was a rental ofc but I dont know what real comfort is considering I have a old buick encore

I like the dash and the steering wheel but not together. You have to take out the rubber liner for the car to detect your phone with a case like an otter box. This reminds me of the GLC but the version I wanted. I subscribed because of the funny editing and comments😅❤

Lucky you, in the US it starts at $112000. In standard trim the same car cost $244000. If you select a few options it is going fast to $287000. Lucky lucky lucky you. So cheap.

you actually have 3 options to navigate your infotainment: 1: screen directly 2: touch pad 3: there is also the right part of the steering wheel! Enjoy!

WIth young kids energy and impatience, I would FAR prefer the 2nd row be a captain chair setup so they can just walk to the third row. Also there's no way an armrest wtih a glass tablet is surviving longer than a couple days before the electric seat slides it out onto the pavement when the kids leave it out. No thank you 2nd row bench.

The problem with the GLS is that they are too big! They look great but who actually needs such a behemoth vehicle? The EQS seems more reasonable and is much more efficient.

@@Mustafakhan-qg6nv Unless you have more than 5 in a family this SUV is too big for most. A family sedan or hatch is big enough for a family of 5 plus luggage. Even a small SUV like EQB or Tesla model Y is perfect and offers more room than a hatch does and its economical and easy to navigate in the city.

Nah... the speaker on top of the dash is killing the Stereo effect. I hate it! Why? bcuz i'm owning 23' GLE 53. put in perspective just play any poirtable bluetooth speaker and put in front of you,, the Benz sound just that.

My x50e is so much smoother quieter than this car. I never noticed how loud the engine is...until i got a PHEV. Electric only mode will always be quieter smoother...It's also faster 0-60 and costs less...All your requirements for moving people but better than this ICE SUV lol

The GLS is not worth the price. It feels cheap, looks cheap unless you spend close to 120k and all of its competitors are more competent. Once you get over the badge you see Mercedes is struggling in this current era
