On John Murtough - "you can certainly criticise aspects of what he's done" - one hell of an understatement. What is it about Murtough that means that journalists feel they need to tread carefully when describing his impact at United. I look at it like this - since Ferguson left we have struggled to do any good business in the transfer market, we act slow, we are not organised, we go for players we should have stayed away from, we ignore certain players who turn out to be stars because our scouting seems to be based on match of the day and who some ex-player has recommended to us... our record sale since Ferguson left is Dan James to Leeds... it is an absolutely atrocious, embarassing record. Someone needs to pay, heads need to role for that. What we have done in recruitment, training and selling of first team players over the last decade would be a bad record at Everton, at United it is a unforgiveable. We've gone through various managers all of whom complained about our recruitment team and not getting the targets they wanted. So who is the one constant person in all that time who has been involved in the football operations since Sir Alex retired...? Its not Ed Woodward he was only interested in commercial deals, its John Murtough - this is the guy involved in ever poor decision. In my view Murtough is a massive part of the problem and if he doesn't get saked (not demoted sacked) by the end of this Ineos strategic review, then I have no faith at all in Ineos because they cant see what is bleeding obvious. "Murtough won't be worried if a new sporting director comes in above him because he is someone who feels he can still offer something to United" - so even though he is useless at his current job we will just find him something else to do because he knows his way around the training ground.. its a joke.

Murtough was doing alright. That's not to say he's best in class, or that we shouldn't go out and get best in class but the blind hatred makes zero sense to me.

My first game at Old Trafford was in 1969 as a young lad,the stadium isn’t remotely the same now as it was back then! Let’s move on and get us a new stadium that blows the rest away like we always had compared to other clubs, we’ve fallen way behind in stadia and on the pitch too! We deserve change! But that’s just my personal opinion! There’s a lot of that have been to Spurs away and they did a great job to be fair to them! We need a venue that is open 24/7 that’s the key to make us successful again!

Maybe read up a little on the Government’s Levelling Up fund before criticising Ratcliffe for asking the question. Westminster’s Levelling Up pledge is all about funding northern infrastructure projects that will boost local economy, create loads of new jobs, boost tourism etc. A knock it out the park, brand new Old Trafford ticks all those boxes - so he’d be stupid not to ask the question. The Government funded the Olympic Stadium build, no doubt helped fund Wembley so why shouldn’t they help fund Old Trafford? Because London’s all that matters to them.

The Owners haven't been good for the club but they've given the fans money to previous managers, EtH has wasted over £150M already on signings, that cost at least 3 players short from where we should be so EtH has to take the blame for that but there's room for improvement with the addition of SJR & his team to send us in right direction!

Enjoyed that. I read his articles in the Athletic. Good journalist. And the Manchester connection. Knows the club. Still for me. Ten Hag out. Anthony gone. Waste of space and wages. Greenwood back. Still need a fire sale. More dead wood than live. Stadium on back burner. Playing like we are you might only need a stadium for 20 000 fans. I don't want to watch them keep losing. Glazer total buy out and gone. And ultimately win something worth having. Now where did I put that oil lamp. Job for Barbara Eden.

There's nothing wrong with the Old Trafford stadium that a bit if TLC won't cure. All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand & East & West quadrant to complete the original design & a new Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant at least 90 capacity but the stadium expansion must NOT exceed the rail track!

You would have to presume there is a pathway. But you can never trust the Glazers on anything. The fact that he is getting extra equity for his 300mill extra investment might be a sign of things to come.. however, I don't see how the Glazers would benefit directly from that in future...and that worries me a bit. But Ratcliffe is clever & would imagine he'll have them out before long. I reckon a lot of fans would be willing to pay towards getting the leeches out if there was a way it could be facilitated

Most of whom dont want Greenwood back are not Manutd fans..we have people saying they are Manutd fans and some are even making livelyhood with Manutd but they are just imposter...Greenwood should be back and Sancho as well cuz we cant continue giving half salary to players playing other teams...if we cannot be in Champions League this year then Tenhag out...if we cannot be in contention to win League up to final days next year then who ever will be the manager next year out...we should be Bayern Munich and Real Madrid or Barcelona of England...Period

Rashford has not learnt how to manage his body. When you have a few drinks, when you have finished drinking he is to drink between 1 and 2 litres of water. That's due to the fact alcohol dehydrates the body.

@@ssheldon1616 The "garbage" player was our best player coming into this season before garbage like Garnacho got favoured over him dropping 0/10s. Rashford is garbage as well. Both are not good enough but I guess you rather have the team "struggle" on the pitch. Hope this helps.
