I'm tired of people saying things like "He won't have enough time since he's being chased." He had enough time to make a sand trap, get resources for a flying machine, and even make a minecart entity cramming trap which takes so much iron, so he'll probably have the time

Also for dogs to attack someone they need to be standing up And if they are standing up they Will teleport to the owner

i assume the dogs will be down the hole not able to teleport so long as theyre leashed but if the runner gets attacked by one of the hunters, the dogs should immediately aggro

Setting on fire, water off the edge, or blowing up the items may help, but it'd need to be quick. For the nether portal waterfalling the items won't work tho.

The first 2 traps are assuming that they aren’t hot on his tail and he has the time to build the last one is usable but you’d be better off spleefing them into lava or pressure plated tnt

Most of these take at least 5-10 minutes of preparation, you'd need a massive lead ahead of the hunters to even perform these

He has time. He can get enough iron to make an entity cramming trap(5 iron per Minecraft, 24 minecarts, thats 120 iron ore that needed to be found), he has time to make traps.
