It's heartbreaking that this mix is not on the OST. Somerville's voice is at the heart of the film, to see it downplayed is a huge shame.

Yeah I don’t get why that happens, and often. If someone buys the OST or listens they surely want to listen to what was in the film? More than happy if they throw in some extra stuff if it’s good, as Vangelis used to do to make it a fuller bigger album. But I’ll never understand why they leave stuff out.

Yes! Jimmy Somerville. It was partially released on the soundtrack made by the director Sally Potter & contemporary music composer David Motion. The film's version has extended vocals. Perfect soundtrack. Perfect movie for a trippy night.
