Back when Francis was a young perfumer. He went on the create the amazing Narciso Rodriguez for her and then his own line. He knows how to make beautiful clean fragrances. Even with economic ingredients like what was used in Elizabeth Arden’s green tea he managed to make a nice perfume.

Green Tea is the only fragrance I wear! I have worn it since it came out and I don't really think it has changed, maybe just a little lighter. I have asthma so I can't wear heavy fragrances. And I will also say that people CONSTANTLY tell me they are obsessed with how I smell! ☺️

One of my very faves! This fragrance is not just a beautiful scent, it has genuinely mood uplifting properties. Not surprised at all it was created by a well known nose!

The green tea perfume was the first perfume I purchased with my own money as a "I'm grown up" product. Back then I didn't know anything about perfumes, I just like how refreshing this perfume was among all the ones at the airport duty free shop. And I didn't know about the brand or Francis Kurkdjian. And until today I still like this one alot! Its really interesting how different scents bring back memories and moments and this is definitely one of those.

I have this. I usually wear this at the gym, out of shower as a refresher. Nothing fancy. Sometimes I layer this with my gourmand heavy hitters fragrances that gives it more delicious appeal effects. Like chocolate or vanilla mint vibe when layered together which I like. But as a stand alone wear, it’s straight like a cut fresh mowed lawn on a sunny crisp morning sitting out in your backyard with cup of tea or coffee. Great for rainy days in your comfy lounge clothes or PJs. This is just meant for very casual wear. Try layering it with L’eau. This should be interesting 🧐 and I personally think this performs better in the summer and in the spring as well. I looked on bottom of my bottle and am surprised it was made in Barcelona, Spain. Wow!

Sometimes, when trying new fragrances, it's best not to try hard and let it sing its own song to us, rather than expecting a voyage from it. They can lead us in a suprise journey, which is a beautiful thing, on its own, in its own way it was meant & created to be. Let it give you the ride, rather than you wanting to ride it & see where it leads you to. The suprises are endless when we are open to it.

I had Green Tea when it was released and I don’t think it’s changed that much. I also had Fifth Avenue. The main reason I had these Elizabeth Arden Fragrances was because they were affordable for me as a teenager and celebrity fragrances weren’t around back then. I don’t know who their fragrances are really meant for these days, back in the 90s the brand still had some prestige but now it’s totally devalued.

Wow, I haven’t bought anything Elizabeth Arden in decades! I used to wear sunflowers as a teenager in the 90s!! Givenchy Amerige was also a favorite of mine as well such a blast from the past...

I had my very first job at Elizabeth Arden I was like 19! I was so excited to be finally in beauty (to my parents disappointment not finishing college) I decided I loved the fragrance because I was overwhelmed by Red Door

This is going a little viral right now so thank you for this review. Saved me a purchase! I tried it at the store and it's really synthetic and boring but you covered this in the most thorough and unique way! I've also never heard of the nose / hot breath trick so thanks for that! Edit: I will try it in the heat. Perhaps it will work better to my nose then.

Wooow! I used to love this when I was in college, even though it doesn't last until almost everybody around me wore it too. Now, finding out that MFK made this, and has his own line and famous now that makes me feel like a proud big sister for him hahahaha!

This was my mom’s signature scent and I recently bought a bottle to smell when ever I miss her 😢 Due to this, my first Francis Kurkdjian love without even knowing who he was. Now that I’ve recently gotten more into fragrance and my nose is a bit more sophisticated, I’ve found a lot of my loves are his creations as well.

I bought this because I loved the scent right out of the bottle, but I agree, no staying power. Funny enough, layer it with Tea Rose (yes, that tea rose) and I get tons on compliments on it I don’t get with either alone. But even then, the Green Tea wears off and after only an hour or two just the tea rose remains.

This may sound wierd, but I've found when you close your eyes while smelling, you concentrate much better on smells & even tastes. It focuses you in more closely. Has anyone out there tried this?? Lol.

I was representing Lancôme at many locations in three states when Green Tea came out. I feel the current formulation is quite the same as the original. Green Tea was very successful and I would say every American female of most ages owned this easy to wear scent! The body products/accessories were also a must have back in the day! I, like many fragrance appreciators, keep this gem in rotation! Thank you Dacob! Always excellent in content!

My Mother wears 5th Avenue but her main perfume is Samsara if she leaves a scarf at my home the scarf always smells of Samsara and i feel so much comfort from smelling her scarfs or if am at her home in winter and i havent got a scarf on she will always put one round my neck and i an smell her scent❤

Highly recommend their deodorant /Green tea. It smells clean/fresh just like the perfume. it smells MFJ. I discovered it back in 2001, and as an 18yr I decided to 'splurge' on a 'brand name' deodorant, and I would only wear it for special occasions. so, I recently rediscovered online/fragrance and bought it, and I will forever buy it. Its the ONLY most effective deodorant, and it smells so good. so not sure if this is because Maison creation, or E. Arden compounder ? also NO SYNTHETIC smell on their deodorant or body cream. I didnt like their perfume bottle... but I have it. I dont recommend their body spray, it smells very synthetic ...

I love what you said that this fragrance is as superficial as one makes it. Agree totally. Love Green Tea. I am not a fan of fresh and citrusy, but I adore this one. To me,there is something in it that makes it very,very nice,I notice the subtleties ,but can't describe them. This one deserves at least an EDT concentration ( or EDP) ,being an Eau Parfumee does not do It justice. I know it's cheap ,you can reapply,but still,I just wish it would last or develop for longer,because I love it. Regardless ,I always have it in summer,and will always buy it. It is synthetic,as almost everything nowadays ,but I still like the smell. I wish EA somehow decides to make it better quality wise......

Yeah…. I’m not a fan of citrus scents like Light Blue but some how Green Tea has a completely different feel… but why?? Dacob answers:)

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 I have to say that I don't follow it regularly because I am more into orientals and much heavier perfumes. Scent of the day, Opium EDP. But I should give it a try. Arden built a real galaxy of flankers on Green Tea.

It's amazing to find out that two fragrances I naturally gravitated to were made by this guy. I didnt even know who this guy was when I bought it. I also have ellie saab le parfum which i was also surprised he also made. This is still a favorite and i think i will always have a bottle

In very hot weather (" Caribbean hot " weather) this one sings. It's like smelling rain amidst the burning sun. It needs the heat for the green tea to emerge

I don’t think it is an EDT or a cologne these days. I believe it used to be an EDT, now it is a body mist, so it fades fast. It is a nice bedtime scent or gym scent. I am sure Francis is no longer proud of the scent in its current formulation.

I have this one, first got it maybe 3 years ago.. Its an ornament in my perfume cupboard. I found it cloying in OZ in our Spring and Summer ( the hottest country in the world ugh!). When I DID spray it for the first time, it hung around me for ages and gave me a headache. In saying that, I quite liked the "Cucumber" green tea flanker, very refreshing on those over 40°C + days...a bit fresh and softer sans les agrumes. :-) :-)

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 Yes, I would say so, and I think mine could ( maybe) be close to the original formulation, as it was acquired from a colleague who was handling a deceased estate, the family didn't want a few items, including perfumes, so he gave them to me with their blessing. I actually don't mind the scent ( and I do get the green tea accord), and as aforementioned, it is just a bit strong/cloying for my summer, and it is definitely not a Autumn or winter perfume. It's a shame with a lot of reformulations that the guts of the original creation are ripped right out!.. A Mr. FK creation at that!! Xx

I completely agree with your review. I so wanted to like the green tea line-up but it was so harsh, alcoholic and screechy that I just could not. I like fresh and natural scents and the healthy concept of green tea is so refreshing for spring and summer but it was more unpleasant than anything else to my nose. I had a hard time understanding how anyone could like this medicinal sharp notes.

i like it a lot. it’s a really easy, nice scent to wear around the house or gym or running errands like it’s just light and inoffensive and can be gotten super cheap at a tj max etc

This is probably something that will never feel dated because it’s so light and fresh, and hard to put a finger on what I’m smelling. Speaking of indolic, do you smell that in Marc Jacobs Perfect and P Intense? I like them but there’s a strong initial blast - I’m not good at describing things, let alone picking out notes, as you.

Hey Dacob, if u get a chance would love if you can try MFK Aqua Media and let us know your thoughts. I have heard it’s a revisitation of this DNA, maybe without the orange note. Most fragheads say it’s uninspired as a newbie in the scene - it is really nice and unique.

I didn´t like it at all. First the tea very strong to me , then I felt a sour , ( sorry : like urine smell in it) and I can´t say a green fresh smell , its a strange smell that i just didn´t like. I don´t know if this is because the fennel or the rhubarb (plants that i¨ve never smell), but I feel a disgusting fragrance. Sorry again for those who love this perfume.
