Elizabeth Hartman, Commander of American Legion Post 539 in Eastern North Carolina, was named a 2023-2024 Defense Community Champion by the Association of Defense Communities. The Defense Community Champions initiative, sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union, recognizes individuals who make a difference on local installations, in communities, and across local governments and industry.
