I like Patrick storyline. Yeah it was so confusing: is he real Patrick or not? Because he knew things about Crawley. I feel sorry for him. The guy was disfigured. He was far away from homeland perhaps had no family. May be at first he just wanted to became a rich lost nephew but then he became close with Edith and couldn't lie to her. The greasepaint wasn't really good but it still was a great dramatic story. A Bunting story was horrible. She was horrible. She always tried to shame Tom for his new position in Crawley family and love to them.

I liked it too, but they didn’t do anything with it which is a shame it could’ve created some drama for the later part of season 2

@@P3891 yes. But they create a lot of drama with WW1. We couldn't handle more drama with Patrick.)

P3891 This is exactly how I felt. What a waste. I was sure they were going to do something, even if anti-climatic. But to do nothing was...crazy-making. Least favorite, to say the least!

Ugh Bunting was horrible, she was just so rude, insulting, and condescending. Tom and her would never have been suited for each other. I hated the Edna storyline more, she took advantage of him and then tried to trap him into a marriage. She was a predator, who used and abused him.

Everyone's supposed to hate Edna, she was a great character in that way. Miss Bunting, on the other hand, we were supposed to like and there was just nothing to her. I never could figure out Tom's attraction - seems Allen couldn't either, lol

I also strongly dislike the Patrick Gordon storyline. Only lasted two episodes and then Allen is right he just disappears and is never mentioned again. It felt like it was there so we'd all feel bad for Edith but I think worked a little too well to the point where I felt so bad for her that I wish it hadn't been in the show.
