Her years with WARNER were really her oldest looking and most unhappy. After that, she went through rehab and lost weight. When she started on her AIDS CAMPAIGN, she was once again the ULTIMATE BEAUTY OF THE SCREEN. When she married again at age 60, she was breathtaking. I know, I attended dinners and fundraisers 3 times where I was in her presence. Once, I had the honor of being introduced to her. Believe me, EVERYONE was awestruck with her beauty. Her passion for helping those who had AIDS will forever be her crowning glory in life. Even more than her 5 Oscar nominations and 2 wins.

People lie about the benefits of getting older but there’s nothing positive about losing your looks and watching your body fall apart.

It's like the people who say- I've heard this a lot more than once- "Cancer is the best thing that happened to me. Now I appreciate life every day." They cannot possibly mean it.

Not everybody is equally concerned with preserving their beauty, if your life goes well that's the least of your achievements... Regarding the question of the body falling apart, it's possible to grow old and mantain a good health. Aging doesn't have to be a bitter experience and Elizabeth's consistent joie de vivre proves exactly that 🤍

Funny how her face looks young but her hairstyle, clothes, jewelry and make-up make her look much older. Later on she wised up.

She always dressed as she wanted and as she just said in the video getting older didn't bother her. If she wised up about anything it was doing what she wanted not what males thought she should do for their sake. Wonderful person.

In the 80s she embraced that ugly big hair typical of that decade and she never completely got rid of it.

@@frodo322 I think it was a bigger version of what was called "the artichoke" hairstyle that she adopted long before. She knew the importance of hair. I saw a pic of her with Burton, Debbie Reynolds and Harry Karl at a table. She had an ordinary, everyday hairstyle of any 1960s woman, and was totally unrecognizable.
