I think the blue pin left over on his hand in adrenaline mode is so that he can hold the back end of his spear which has a hole for a pin.

By far my favorite second gen model. I actually love the gold chest before adrenaline mode.

I was expecting at the beginning of this video Kopaka sliding in his skies and all of a sudden slipping in front the other Toa and saying I did not slip. Anyways I think Kopaka out of all should have been designed better. I think we can all agree on most notably that: 1. He should have had white bear paw like pieces for shoulders instead of gold ones. 2. White brain attack body armor. And 3. His mata sword for spear. Seriously they still have access to Bionicle Stars pieces but they only use the Rahkshi staff.

How much do you want to bet that the opening skit for LOSS will be like the Visorak and Fenrak skit: Eljay is sweeping, talking about how he loves sweeping, and he turns around and says "Another Spider?!?!"

This set is just amazing! He has such an awe-inspiring presence with the greatly utilized armor pieces and I love how strongly he's based on both the Toa Mata (the mask is almost a complete replica of the Akaku) and Toa Nuva Kopaka (secondary skiing function). This guy is just solid all around. The only thing I dislike is that I feel his spear is a bit lacking when compared to Kopaka's previous weapons.

I think they could of fixed the too much gold with the gold mask by making his chest piece white. I like kopaka, but I never imagined him to be so bulky, I always pictured him as tall and lanky, he was the strategist in my eyes and those guys usually are huge. In any case, new kopaka looks good, glad to own him.

Him and Tahu are the only ones I've gotten so far, and out of the two, this one feels more worth the $20 price tag(which is funny considering I got him for a reduced price and paid full price on Tahu). He's got a good bit more bulk to him and the gear function operates a bit better on him to me. I'm more of a Tahu fan(thus my profile pic), but this time Kopaka wins.

I'm not a fan of Kopaka's gold armour. Gold just isn't a very icy colour. I think he'd look a lot better if the shoulders and chestplate were white, and the gold bits on his limbs were silver. Other than that, Kopaka seems like a pretty good set.

When using the powered up form, I prefer to put the skiis/shield on Kopaka's back by resting it on the gear function sticking out of his back as seen in the stop-motion animations. Also, it's neat to see that the blaster was actually hinting at his Uniter weaponry.

Honestly, 2015 Kopaka's chestplate design is probably my favorite out of the "Toa Masters"/"Toa Okoto" sets

we already have a legend of Makuta and Ekimu, a prophecy of the Toa, a bit of info on the society on Okoto, and probably some stuff I am missing, and we dont even HAVE the main story material yet. Until we get a proper story resource(books) we should not judge it.

I don't see why people are complaining about how he holds his shield. It's closer to how a person would hold a shield in real life and doesn't look as unnatural as if he were to be holding it out forward the way eljay suggested.

His shield is large, and cumbersome. That is the point of a shield, for the most part.

When I put Kopaka together, his number of peaces felt underwhelming considering his size and price tag. How is a set classified as a titan set? Part count? Physical size of the assembled set?

I don't like kopakas lower leg build. I ended up pulling off the widening pieces and used the gold base armor and flipped the armor add-ons so they covered the knees. I liked the rest of the build

Kopaka and Onua seem the most out of place with the other toa imo. Their hands and feet are not metallic colours like the other four and the gold feels very out of place. Tahu is the only toa who can do the gold well (again imo). The presence of stickers are also exclusive to these two toa. These two feel like chima sets. If you put Gorzan's constraction head on Onua, it looks like Gorzan. If you put Fangar's head on Kopaka, it looks like Fangar. I don't know it bugs me.

Another issue with the shield: It's Tahu's freaking weapons! LEGO's complete lack of creativity when it comes to Kopaka's weapons bugs me to no end.

I'm starting to wonder... Do people hate CCBS because it's not like the classic Bionicle builds? Or do they hate it because of Hero Factory having started it and making it look like every CCBS set is a Hero Factory set?

This is probably a dumb question but what does CCBS mean? I haven't bought any of the Gen 2 bionicles because from what ive seen their building style is really weird to me

Chris Van Strydonk CCBS stands for "Character and Creature Building System" and is the catch-all title for the new building system introduced with Hero Factory's 2011 wave. It has since become the standard for all constraction themes and sub-themes, including HF, Superheroes, Legends of Chima, and now BIONICLE. It's definitely different from BIONICLE"s old system, but it has evolved drastically over the last few years in complexity and creativity. I would definitely recommend checking some of the sets out, you'll probably grow to like it! :D

Actually I just got the PoW today, the system is okay. My biggest problem is that the new parts aren't really compatible with Gen 1, and seeing most of my sets are Gen 1, it hinders me in incorporating new and old parts. It's definitely different though and not bad, but because I grew up with Gen 1 I prefer it more. Thanks for the response though!
