They really played Marco in this movie. I really don't understand why the better guy didn't get a happy ending

The most important difference between Noah and Marco is that Noah always forced Elle to do things to suit his need, and whined all the times about Elle spending too much time with Lee, when Marco supported her, respected her and helped her to complete the bucket list with Lee. I don't understand why Elle had to choose Noah, I would have chosen Marco in a heartbeat.

Tbh I think Marco was the “one”. Her and Noah were desperately trying to hold onto something that ended when he moved. Deep down inside, I think she also felt it would effect her friendship with Lee. At first I thought Chloe/Marco were outside distractions that got in the way but I think they were warning signs that their relationship was coming to a close and those are the people they need to move on with.

Why do y'all romanticise Marco so much? I get that he accepted her the way she is, but look at it this way, imagine your partner kissed someone else and now they're hanging out casually, no matter how secure you are, you still won't be able to think about it. Now, Marco himself knew he caused friction between Elle and Noah. He put on the costume Noah was supposed to (I get that Noah never agreed to wearing the costume for Elle and Lee), and he showed up in it in front of Noah, and he made the race between him and Noah and he won against him, fairly but his handshake to Noah seemed unnecessary. Secondly, as a guy, he was holding onto Elle when she was upset with Noah, and instead of staying away from Elle thinking of how he already created problems between them, he keeps throwing himself in between, and he even called Tuppen to get an invite to the 4th of July party. He punched Noah first (Noah had to have revenge for the race), but again, Noah wasn't wrong, Noah is a guy too ajd he predicted it. Elle should have seen it coming. Imagine if it was the reverse, Noah and Chloe being in love, y'all would hate Chloe for causing drama, and yet so delusional when it comes to Marco. Marco even asked Elle at one point if Noah was coming, like he wanted to know everything about Elle and Noah. Guys, if a girl is committed, just accept it and move on. Marco is a nice guy, but I'm the 3rd movie, he stirred up unnecessary drama. And I actually understood why Noah broke up with Elle because she was being deaf and she wasn't giving him any priority when it came to his thoughts about Marco. Ladies, if your man ever tells you a guy is a snake, just like how your momma can sense fake people, your man can too. So no, Marco is not it for me. Noah was being a baby here and there but Elle honestly caused a lot of drama.
