Ellen Celebrates the Class of 2020 with a Commencement Speech from Home

May is usually the beginning of graduation season, but because of social distancing, a lot of graduation ceremonies have unfortunately been cancelled. Since both Ellen and graduates across the country are home, she put on her gown and gave a commencement speech to honor the class of 2020.

We actually just got to have a parade for me and the rest of my class today. People lined up outside their houses as we drove by...I couldn’t tell if I was crying from joy or sadness. It was sweet, I still wish I got to have a normal graduation...but today was nice. There were so many people, and even if it was only for a minute I got to see people from my class that I might never see again...great I’m crying again...

Thank you Ellen for always cheering people up in hard times. I recently lost my parents a month from each other. Their deaths are not corona related. It's been the hardest thing to grieve to not able to give a proper funeral. Soon, I.will be having my Mothers zoom funeral and my father will be making a beautiful video to mail to family. My Mother loved you, she's been so ill for a long time. My heart is broken and your videos have helped me laugh . Thank you

During this time of pandemic, you see how many celebrities can't go a week without trying to be recognize. Proof that most jobs you can get without college. You can do an internship or study and take a test or work your way up or go to a company directly for hire and or training. It sucks I didn't know that because school teachers don't tell you the truth on that. I threw away money and time in college on something I can't even use due to health problems. Ironically I went to school to be a teacher.
